I'm not using the other mod, but when I have this installed, no redirecting happens, at all.
The registration email goes out, the user activates via the registration link, and there is no redirecting. Do I assume correctly that this mod only works if you do not use the email activation procedures? |

Hi,
The thread says this is the Mod Version: 1.00 but the XML says this: <version>0.9</version> Where is the 1.00? My plugin manager is complaining about that. |

BirdOPrey5,
Have you considered contacting the author of "BBR - Welcome Thread Upon Registration" to see if he'll let you update and take it over? Here's the author's vb.org page: BBR-APBT |
Yeah I think combining both together makes more sense... That's if possible? :)
|
The author of the welcome thread mod took it down because he was upset with vbulletin, i do not feel he would give permission for someone to re-release it.
I will consider making my own welcome thread mod though. |

I cannot download this mod: BBR - Welcome Thread Upon Registration
This mod is in modification graveyard and i don't have access to download don't know why |
Does anyone have a working link of that mod?
|
Any1 know where i can download the bbr welcome thread mod as its not available to download on vb.org now
|
@craigvm - I deleted your previous post because the only site you could have found the bbr welcome mod at was one that gives away pirated/illegal software and you are now allowed to advertise such sites here.
You should also be very suspect of using mods you find as such sites, they can be edited to include back doors or other malicious code that can compromise the security of your site and its users. I have personally seen mods altered for example to send a copy of the admin password to an email account anytime an admin logs in. |
Hey Joe, ya think you can make this compatible with this mod, [OzzModz] Welcome Thread / Post For New Users
Since BBR - Welcome Thread Upon Registration is now in the graveyard. I think the only major difference is in my mod, the welcome can be a new thread, or a post in a existing thread. |
Looking into this.
|
I am hoping to use this with Ozzy's mod as well.
|
Would be a nice bonus, since the other mod is dead. :)
|
I just tried it thinking I could manually just enter the thread id seeing as I am using the post aspect of your mod Ozzy. It doesn't work though. Upon successful registration and log in the redirection says thread not found or something like that.
I remember using Joe's welcome/redirection mods years ago on many sites. Your mod and this would would be even better I think seeing as we can no create new posts instead of just threads. |
Come on Joe, add it. :)
