This is a great start, but there are some things that it needs in order to be more usable. I would like to see it more in line with osTicket.
  • There needs to be a way to assign a ticket to a person. This should work off of the user list that is already in vBulletin.
  • There needs to be a way to view which tickets are assigned to you.
  • There needs to be a way to reassign the ticket to a different department/product.
  • There needs to be a way to send a tech a private message as well as the email.
  • The department/products should have the ability to say "this department is handled by X" and have it instantly assigned to X (a technician).
  • Delete ticket should only be available based on the usergroup.

You can change the text by going to admincp->Languages & Phrases->phrase manager->

Then choose within this Phrase Type: microsupport and all the phrases are there for you to change.

These things will be added but its going to take time as i have other mods to sort out as well.


I have just added within the new files the ability to add a forum block its all done for you, just import the new product.xml file and it will install the forum side block for you.

It is working now as should.

Some suggestions /issues:

1. - The version number is not changed in ACP plugin manager (still 4.6.3.)
2. - The 'Live Support' window should be somehow made to be integrated as with the same colors as per the style used...
3. - There are too many (in my opinion) Login necesary to start a chat. I belive that could be directly connected if the users belongs to the specific group!

Looking into this as it should have updated.

Am working on a new version that will be able to import the users style but may take some time to sort out.

There are only 2 logins one for the forums and one for the live support system other than that you dont need to login to the help desk for any thing else.

Login to admincp goto Languages & Phrases -> Phrase manager

how are you suppose to install this, do you download all 3 files? Instructions are poorly written. I downloaded all 3 uploaded them, brings me to /support.php after clicking helpdesk yet i browsed all the files there is no support.php wtf. uninstalled. please provide some insight on how to install correctly.

Please download all 3 zip files and upload to your forums root dir.
Import the product.xml file
Then follow the other install options at the top of this page.

This has now been changed from the header to be placed within the forums side bar and at the side within the support system.

As you can see from the code at the top telling you how to place this within the header you can remove it from there and place it any where.

To save you from having to edit templates i added a sode bar that can be activated within the suspports settings.

Great Mod!!!

I do have one problem. When I click on My Tickets the Live Support Box goes all the way across the header. Works fine in Firefox but not IE8.

Also note that "Important Questions" and "Latest Questions" menu's are not formatted corectly.

I also want to remove the HelpDesk Navbar button without modifing your microsupport_tabmenu. Any better way to do this?

From your image i cannot see alot there as its very small and not clear
As for the live support at the top of the page this has been removed within the new files and added to the forums side bar, so that no one needs to edit the templates.

As to remove the navbar helpdesk from the navbar its easy just login to admincp->plugins & products->plugin manager

look for Product : microSUPPORT PRO then click the check box HelpDesk Tab Menu and then save and the help desk tab will not show.

As to remove the navbar helpdesk from the navbar its easy just login to admincp->plugins & products->plugin manager

Yes all 3 zip files need to be downloaded and uploaded to your forum
then just import the product xml file and set up the usergroups thats how easy it is to set this system up.

First, I really appreciate the fix you did to the post I made in the old thread. Upgrade is awesome.

However, one issue found:

When you click the "Live Support" link, it pops up with a blank white screen titled "Live Support popup. My gut feeling is as soon as I post this, I will find the solution in other posts to this thread I have yet to read. If not, well I am reporting the issue then.

Recommendation:

I use volunteer staff at agaresmedia.com in our and would like to see them benefit a bit by getting voluntary donations for their service. It would be nice for staff to configure their Paypal address and if a member wants to make a donation, click that button and then the volunteer staff member gets paid directly. Is this a feature in the Pro version?

Im looking into the popup problem and will have a fix for this very soon thankyou for letting me know.

I do like the idea of having the pay staff member and will sort something out for this within the live support system.

I will PM you with info on this when its made as it would be something for the commercial version.

All files have been updated and should have fixed the popup problem.
You might notice a few other changes as there are more optiond to change some of the live support functions.

Hopefully I installed the update correctly. I uninstalled the import. Then overwrote all the files by re-uploading the new package. Then I imported the new .xml file.

Install instructions :

Go to AdminCP -> Language & Phrases -> Import -> Import XML file on existant French language (Allow overwrite : YES)

the spam settings are already set for you but you can change them if needed.

The only changes are some updates to templates and some of the php files that have some bug fixes.
