Okay, I don't mind using online translation tools but how can this mod be incompatible with itself, I am not too sure what you mean.

Installed; thanks! A very useful mod, would love to see it compatible with seperate normal threads from stickies though, so will be anxiously waiting on that one. :up: Will disable it until then. :p

Hi, I'm glad you like it.

There are a few "Separate normal threads from sticky", I've included a fix for one of them in the downloads area of this thread, another one discussed in this thread is compatible with my mod. What mod are you referring to?

There seems to be a limit of 250 characters on the URL length.

This is not sufficient for me.

Can you advise where I need to increase this in order to increase it to (say) 1000? I changed newthread_link and editpost_link, but its still not working for me.

Any chance of including support for longer URLs in a future release? With parameters and deep linking and tracking codes, the URLs I am getting from merchants are often over 250 chars?

Update: I fixed this (I think!) by increasing the "link" field length in the "thread" table on top of my code changes. Seemed to have the desired effect. Still suggest inclusion in future releases - I believe since its a varchar field, it won't make any difference to folk using shorter URLs, but would support longer ones.

Hi Paul,

I'm glad you figured it out fast enough, yes it's the "link" field that is set as VARCHAR type which has an overall limit of 255 characters. If you wish to have more than that available, change it to TEXT type.

I'm pretty sure I installed your fix correctly but they still seem to be conflicting.

Edit: My apologies for being a noob, just changed the execution order on the plugin and it works fine. Thanks again!

Hey phpdesk, I am working with vB 4.2 PL3 and the Separate Sticky and Normal Thread hack.
The fix you attached to your addons does not work anymore in this version.
Would you mind taking a look and update it if possible?

Had to uninstall this.

All I want is to redirect threads, this mod is screwing up my forumdisplay, all the thread listings are different when using this mod. That is so pointless, what's with all the extra changes to thread listings when all we want in this mod is to redirect threads?

This is the reason there are issues with the separate sticky/normal threads mod, because this mod is trying to do 100 things it's not even supposed to do.

Get rid of all the extra junk in this add-on, so it does only what it's supposed to do, and you'll probably get more installs/donations for this.

Looking forward to a fix at some point. I don't want to change my forumdisplay or thread listings AT ALL, all I want to do is redirect threads.

1/5 from me.

I'd like to see all the extra features EXCEPT for the redirect and usergroup options disappear, or have the option not to use them at all.

Hi, thansk for the mod. I have a problem with Mobile style, I have 4.2.3. In mobile style the threads acting as URL redirect dont appear in forums, even if they are sticky.

Target Thread appear ok on mobile, but not the threads acting as URL redirect.
