It looks very nice but I have an upload problem. Everything in the zip is in one directory and has the whole directory path as its name (rendering the files prohibited names). eg; shades_of_green_4.0.8\upload\images\shades_of_gree n\statusicon\user_invisible.gi f

(I assume this is a new update issue as no one else appears to have noticed it.)

You need to unzip (decompress) the attached file, and then upload the "shades_of_green" folder to your forums images directory so it would look like this...

images/shades_of_green

Zelda-King 11-16-2010 03:57 PM

I know. Actually turns out to have been the unzipping program. Early morning error people might want to remember in future for an off-day. Sorted it out now, cheers!

Grievance withdrawn. :D

Do you have plans to update this for vbulletin 4.1? I really like this theme and if it is going to be soon I'll wait on doing the 4.1 update.

I will try to have it updated in the next day or two. I have a few small enhancements I would like to make.

Hey Steve, It's been updated... :)

Joost Jochems 01-31-2011 11:21 AM

Installed it today.

Very nice job!!!!

niteflyer32 02-03-2011 08:18 AM

Installed on 4.1.1. We lost some icons like "Read" and Unread" forums, RSS feed, "Subscribed To This Forum" and "Go To Last Post" on main index. Other link images are broken on Post a topic and reply.

Thanks

Joost Jochems 02-04-2011 12:05 PM

Check your upload as you picked the wrong map.

niteflyer32 02-05-2011 07:27 AM

Thanks Joost, that was it.

Hi all,

Really liked the look of this style but ran into a small issue when I installed it. Seems somehow the Who's Online doesn't like it or something. As you can tell in the attachment that I was showing to be viewing an image for Battlefield Bad Company 2. I don't have any images in my image folder that relates to such.

Since the issue I have deleted all files on server, reuploaded and readded the same style and still same thing. So since I have my own VPS Server I went into my WHM and killed the domain and started over. I won't reload this style at this time, just wanted to bring this to the authors attention since in his attachments it showed being a BFBC2 Style.

I'm not really sure what is causing that, but I will take a look at it. I plan to update the style shortly after version 4.1.3 is released. :)

The postbitbit_legacy is too narrow for what I'm trying to do, how would I go about changing the width?

Hi Gemma, go to your Admin CP and go to...

Styles & Templates > StyleVars > postbitlegacy_userinfo_width

This will allow you to modify the width of the User Info on the left side of the postbit.

If you want to change the overall width of the postbit itself, you will need to modify the CSS directly.

Thanks a lot :)

Phaedrus 03-22-2011 06:07 AM

When I added this style it had a replacement variable that caused it to look for smilies somewhere they weren't on my forum. I had to find and revert that so that smilies would work.

spinko 03-26-2011 06:57 PM

This template is great! Thanks!

One challenge I'm having is the link color is white. I've verified in the template vars that it's set to dark green as seen in your screen shots but can't get it to update. Any suggestions?

I'm not really sure, but I will take a look at it on a clean test installtion I just created. No matter what, we will change the color one way or another for you. :)

Epic! Thanks for the help. I really have no idea what might be over riding it.

I didn't find anything that would cause your site to experience this. It might be a plugin you have installed, but I'm not sure. I sent you a PM. :)

Hawk7173 04-11-2011 12:12 AM

I've uploaded the images folder to images, deleted the smilie in variables and non of the icons show on the forum. The icons are still in the icon folder within shades_of_green folder in the images folder.

Do they nee to be moved somewhere?

Thanks,

I don't think I understand. Why did you delete the smile variables? What are you trying to accomplish?

Hawk7173 04-11-2011 01:53 PM

earlier in this thread it was said to do that in order to have the existing smilies from the default style to be on both.

He's talking about this. I had to find and revert the replacement variable so that this style used my regular smilies rather than the limited smilies list that came with the style. It also pointed somewhere that I hadn't installed the smilies (not all of us use forums/)...

However I'm unsure what he is talking about. I reverted, this used my regular smilies and potential disaster was averted. If he wants it to use the smilies that came with the style he'll need to keep the variable.

Send me a link to your site and I will have a look.

Hawk7173 04-11-2011 02:15 PM

you'll need to login..... I'll PM you with login details.

You will need to change the style at the bottom as the forum is set to the default.

Thanks, Tony

Hawk7173 04-11-2011 02:36 PM

All better now. Thanks! Tony

Style works nicely, only I came across a problem when clicking on the second page of a thread. I get this.....

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /showthread.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
