Thanks for the fast reply brother.
And if you don't mind please take a look at my forum.

It should, though the horizontal one might be a bit big.

It's integrated by default, you can create Achievements that use it :)

This happened to my entire forum when I installed, test forum of course.

Any idea on how to fix it, and also how easy is it to migrate the modification from 3.8.x to 4.0.x assuming we upgrade?

Thanks. :)

DragonByte Tech 08-04-2010 03:09 PM

PHP 4 is not supported, not by The PHP Group themselves (as of 2 years ago) nor by DBTech, sorry.

Doom Stone 08-04-2010 03:15 PM

Thanks for the quick reply. ;)
Fair enough, I guess it's about time we bothered updating that anyway.

How about migrating from 3.8 to 4.0, we'll most likely be updating at some point and I'd like to carry everything over, is this possible?

DragonByte Tech 08-04-2010 03:21 PM

All you need to do is re-import the vB4 XML file - you don't even need to re-download it from the vB4 thread :)
The files are designed to work with both versions simultaneously :)

Awesome, thanks. :)

What template do I have to edit?

DragonByte Tech 08-04-2010 07:51 PM

It's not a template edit, it's a file edit.
If you update to the latest version of vBSEO this should be fixed.

Thank you :)

v2.1.2 has been released, which fixes all known problems as reported by you all.
No new features have been added, but it's recommended to update to help prevent any issues from occurring on your forum.

DragonByte Tech 08-05-2010 10:17 PM

I've updated the zip with a fix for the All Achievements list :)

As for the resource usage, I've been unable to verify this with any of our big-boards users (except the ones that use vBSEO).
I've already taken pretty much every conceivable step to reducing the footprint this addon uses, so unfortunately I don't think there's much I can do about this.

However, some people reported a problem with the Leaderboards function. Can you try removing the leaderboards link from the templates and see if things calm down when people are no longer trying to access leaderboards?

Award Request / Nomination is a Pro feature as per the OP.

Installed :)

Zylantex 08-25-2010 07:23 AM

I have just installed this product and I'm still getting to grips with it. It looks great and the posters are really interested in it. Thanks for the product.

Zylantex 08-25-2010 08:50 AM

Is there any way to exclude a usergroup from the stats?

I have a couple of RSS News Feeds and they are dominating the threads created / posts made leaderboards at the expense of genuine posters.

Is there an issue with calculating points for thanks given/received ? None of my posters seem to have have any thanks related points.
I am using the Ajax Post Thanks Hack

This is a Pro-only feature I believe :)

It only works for DBTech's Advanced Post Thanks / Like mod :)

Zylantex 08-26-2010 07:49 AM

Thanks for the reply.

I will consider going Pro when I get to grips with the Lite version and see how well it is received by the posters.

Is there any way to change to your thanks system without losing the current thanks stats?

DragonByte Tech 08-26-2010 12:23 PM

The Pro version of our Thanks mod allows for importing from Abe's Thanks mod :)

Fillip

Zylantex 08-26-2010 06:20 PM

That's good to know, some people would be very upset to lose their thanks count.

DragonByte Tech 11-28-2010 03:40 PM

A hotfix version has been released to fix all outstanding known issues.

To upgrade, follow the normal procedure when updating a product.

- DragonByte Tech Development Team

DragonByte Tech 01-18-2011 06:20 PM

vBActivity & Awards v2.1.3 has been released.

This version brings not many visual changes, but significant back-end changes.
  • The Installer and general code has been refactored to be more in line with newer DBTech products. This should eliminate some white page problems people were experiencing with the Bitfields / Permissions.
  • Temporarily removed [DBTech] Advanced Post Thanks / Like support. *
  • An API has been created to allow other modifications to more easily integrate into vBActivity.
  • Added support for an upcoming Postbit Tabs mod.
  • Turning off the automatic postbit display (as required by the Postbit Tabs mod) no longer hides the content even with manual placement.
  • Profile Tabs now look good on both vB 4.0.8+, and earlier versions.

* Will be re-enabled over the past couple of weeks with an update to Advanced Post Thanks / Like v1.1.x

IMPORTANT!!!
If you receive the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch_activity_level() on a non-object in [path]/dbtech/infopanels/includes/hooks/forumhome_complete.php on line 175
Please re-download InfoPanels and re-upload all its files. Support for the new vBActivity code structure was added 3 days ago in the hotfix that was released then.

Actually, I'm getting

Quote:

Fatal error: Class 'vB_Template' not found in /****/public_html/cogonline/forums/dbtech/vbactivity/hooks/process_templates_complete.php on line 11
Unable to log into my Admin CP at the moment.

DragonByte Tech 01-19-2011 07:46 PM

Updated zip, try now :)

Fillip

Digital Jedi 01-19-2011 07:50 PM

Okay, I'll try it out. It turned out that it didn't like the Quick Links/Community Links and Navbar Tab features enabled. When I turned them off, it seemed to work.

Digital Jedi 01-19-2011 08:00 PM

Seems to have corrected the problem. Thanks. (And thank goodness for define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); )

DragonByte Tech 01-19-2011 08:03 PM

Because we code our modifications on vBulletin 4 and then back-port them to vB3, we use an emulated vB4 template engine when vB3 is detected in order to allow us to release identical files for both versions.

This severely cuts down development time. However, because all our modifications use this method, it only takes one other modification to be active in order to not trigger that error.

That's why sometimes, that error slips through the cracks :(

Quality mate, quality!

Digital Jedi 01-21-2011 05:59 AM

I see you updated it again since yesterday. Was it just a minor fix, or should I update again?

DragonByte Tech 01-21-2011 11:12 AM

First few days after a release is usually filled with various hotfixes, to ensure you don't have any bugs you should re-download and re-upload (shouldn't be a need to re-import) :)

Digital Jedi 01-23-2011 10:53 PM

Ah, found one uncached template: dbtech_vbactivity_member_css

No, I'm not just looking for trouble. :D It just finds me. :(

Are you sure, cause I can see it cached in my files.

Try uploading the latest ones again, maybe I fixed it in a hotfix somewhere.

vBActivity v2.1.4
  • Fixed a problem with editing Criteria.
  • Fixed a conflict issue with the CometChat Picture (ccpic.php) file.

DragonByte Tech 02-12-2011 03:19 AM

vBActivity v2.1.5
  • The Leaderboards will now once again function correctly while maintaining number rounding.
  • Installing / upgrading with a user that does not have the Super Administrator permission now works as intended

vBActivity v2.1.6
* Compatibility for the vB3 version of Postbit Tabs has been added

Cla75 02-22-2011 08:07 AM

Hello,
I tried to install "vBActivity v2.1.6" free version to test the mod before you buy it on vBulletin 3.8.6.

I am interested in "only" user activity, but after you set all the points, I see that old users, continue to have a high enough % of daily activities even though he never online at the forum. How is this possible?
(Important: I turned off the items "Received")

Other questions:

- because if you set a value of 30 in the "Activity Target", it automatically changes the value ?

- there is a way to never have % more than 100% ?

- because if you set a value of 10 in "Activity Target: Minimum Points" (or a claim very high), continues to calculate the % for all users?

Thanks for your replies.

You'd need to re-calculate the points and wait 24 hours (or manually run the "Build Points Cache" cron job) to make that %age drop.

Every day at midnight it automatically changes that value, yeah.

If you want to include absolutely every user you would set that to 0, though it's recommended to increase it, not decrease it, to give the activity % a more accurate representation of activity on your forum.

I re-calculated the points 48 hours ago and launched manually "Build Point Cache" but many users continue to have a high% while it never online.

For example:

USER1 40.79% - 5.83% - 1.46% - 11 - 1043.37

Last Activity: 13 Sep 2010 07:15

Total Points: 1043.37
Activity Level: 11
Percent Into Level: 15.17% Achieved
To Next Level: 186.63
Daily Activity: 1.75 / 4.29 (40.79%)
Weekly Activity: 1.75 / 30 (5.83%)
Monthly Activity: 1.75 / 120 (1.46%)
Points
Points for Posts: 875.75
Points for Posts (Own Threads): 65.400000000001
Points for Threads: 82.2
Points for Visitor Messages (Given): 0
Points for Poll Votes: 1.75
Points for Infraction Points (Given): 0
Points for Infraction Points (Received): 0
Points for Calendar Events: 0

Lets say you exclude threshold is 20 points.
Let's say 20 users gained 20 or more points.

It will sum the total points gained by those 20 users over the past week, divide it by 20.

That will be the value of the setting, and that'll be your weekly activity target.

Check the Ranking page, sort by weekly activity, try to find out how many points the person with the most weekly activity has got over the past week, and set that as the target :)
