Crap I have a bug to report :(

If this mod is installed and enabled. FireFox users can't edit tags. Comes back with
Quote:

Invalid Action Specified
Once you try to submit the new tags or delete old ones. This only happens with this mod enabled and only happens in FireFox. Internet explorer is unaffected by this bug. A work around for FireFox is to right click on "edit tags" and open in new window. It works that way. But I would rather really not have to explain all that to my FireFox users.

Tested on a moded vbulletin 3.8.5 site, and a vanilla 3.8.4 test site.

Dev Please help. Look forward to a bug fix. Thanks.

At the time of posting this I don't have a vB3.8 installation to test it on, but I'll get back to you as soon as possible with a fix :)

I can't get it to work, I have installed it and it's enabled in the AdminCP but nothing shows up in the postbit

DragonByte Tech 06-09-2010 01:45 PM

Can you confirm you have the postbit_userinfo_left template hook in your postbit or postbit_legacy template?

Fillip

matthewhotdude 06-09-2010 01:47 PM

I've confirmed that there's an issue with getting tags to display, but I didn't get the Invalid Action Specified error, just that the tags don't show up in the tag list.

I'll work on a fix and update the zip file once that's done.

I should be able to figure it out then :)

That's great news that your working on a fix. I have a few cosmetic suggestions that you may want to take into consideration.

It's with the profile block. I personally would like to see the edit icon, inline with the status text just like the way it is in the postbit. And add the default collapse button back to where it's supposed to be. This would aid in conformation of the forum's look and functionality.

Allso I'm not a big fan of the fact that in the profile block even guests can see the edit status icon. I tested it and noticed that it infact wont let them change the status "throws out a no permissions message" I personally would still rather them not even see the icon. Just like in the postbit.

Thanks for reading.

Update. Needs a way to change past status's. Because bad past status's show up in the "status changes" profile tab.

What collapse icon?

We'll look into the edit icon displaying for guests, thanks :)

Past status moderation is getting added for the future.

Do you think you can add the option to edit their status from their profiles too?

As per the screenshot 2 posts up, editing statuses from profiles is already a feature and has been since day 1.

I see.

Sorry about that.

When, can we expect a fix for the tag bug?

DragonByte Tech 06-13-2010 03:32 PM

Firefox Thread Tag Bug is still present. :(

Link to a video I made showing how to reproduce the error.

First I try to edit the tag while this mod is enabled and all other mods are disabled. After the error. I then disable this mod and the error is gone.
