That's weird, maybe it's a skin specific file then. I'll check it out :)

Facebook can do @Full Name, why cant this app remove the semicolon?
|
Doing that kind of checks on major posts like forums would lag up browsers I reckon.

I've not purchased this or installed it yet mainly because I'm concerned that without making it simple people won't use it. Mike |
There's always the BBCode button that lets your users type an username without needing to know the @ and ; keys :)
We'll investigate for future versions, but we can't promise anything due to the fact that this mod is not the single reason why someone would type the @ letter :) |

Still on the fence :) A question --- if the user opts for the Toolbar option, does it use AJAX like other areas of the site to predict/finish the username? Like when you send a PM for instance, how it pops up with the usernames as you type.
I'm just concerned to spend money on this and then find people have type-o's in usernames. I was talking to one of my mods about this and he kept leaving out the space in MY username when I was showing him how to use it. So if a mod even has trouble... I really want this, I think it could be great to increase social networking on the site itself. It's a shame it couldn't work in-line in the editor itself, as you type (just like I am typing this post right now), if it detected @ it could start displaying usernames as someone typed :) I wonder how facebook does it. Mike |
@ctrlbrk: I understand your concern, the reason why we didn't implement AJAX checking like FaBook does is that not only may it be hard (or impossible) to hook into the WYSIWYG editor (that's yet to be confirmed, we'll investigate for the future though), but it may cause confusion if an user is typing an email address and not attempting to tag.
Additionally, the AJAX check isn't instant, so users may put typos in there before the AJAX check has a chance to kick in. It's certainly something we'll look into though, I'll raise this as a Task in our project tools :) |
Sorry for bugging you guys again, I know your like "just install the damn thing already!" but I am methodical ;)
Question, lets say a user tries to tag but screws it up, like leaves out a space or semicolon. If a mod or admin goes back later and edits the post to fix it, will the tagged user still be notified (on edit, instead of initial post)? Mike |
I don't remember seeing this mod before, thanks I've been looking for something similar. :)
|
Any progress with the usergroup permissions?

Already a pro feature =) |

We just tested it ourselves as a matter of fact, and even if someone other than the poster him/herself edits the post it will still show as being a Mention from the correct user :) |
I just installed this and nothing shows up when we do @usernames
I might be interested in the pro version, but the lite version MUST work first. |
It's @username; - notice the Semicolon at the end :)
|
accepting moderated posts stopped working after installing this mod. Please check it. it is a nice mod.
|
Please re-download all files and re-upload, this has been fixed I believe :)
|
is it supposed to show the @ and the ; at the end of the tag
User Tagging: Hit “Tag Users” to recommend the thread to people without mentioning them in your post. A great way to make sure people don't miss threads that would be suitable for them! What do you mean by that |
@DragonByte Tech's: re-downloaded and reinstalled, but still not working :(
thanks.. |

It doesn't work with the AME- plugin installed. As far as I know this issue is still unresolved?
|
I have the AME plug in installed and it works

It contains users that have been tagged in the thread, as opposed to mentioned in a post. Quote:
I can't solve this unless I know exactly what happens. |

when I try to approve a post. I select the post and click on "approve post(s)". the inlinemode.php loads and come back to the thread. BUT the post isn't approved. |
How do you move the "mentions" in postbit_legacy? I don't like where it shows me how many times a user has been tagged and would like to move it.
I have found from the plugin that the code is $usertag_postbit but as soon as I disable the plugin telling it to put it in its default location, that part wont show either. Any tips? |
Comment out the $template_hook part, you should then be able to use that variable to put it where you want it to go :)
|
how would I comment it out?
is it in postbit_display_complete? |
The plugin yeah :)

Could you help with the code please? I haven't dealt with plugins and don't want to mess anything up
|
We've been experiencing a problem with this (the pro version). A number of posts - seemingly random - would be completely deleted when we tried to edit them. Not all posts, but there doesn't seem to be a discernable pattern to those effected, and it's not necessarily those with mentions or tags.
However, uninstalling the product fixed the problem instantly. Any idea what might be going on there? |
If you're a Pro customer, please post on our website for priority support :)
This has never been reported before and sounds extremely unlikely since this mod doesn't call post deletion code... Fillip |
if you can paste the plugin code to remove, that will be very helpful :)
Many thanks for a great mod |

We'll experiment with installing/uninstalling it to make sure. It may well have been a coincidence in timing and caused by something else, so I'll let you know how we get on. |
