Just a FYI, we've decided not to charge for push notifications - ever.

So when you create a push notification account, ignore the expiration date. A future revision of the app will remove this altogether. :-)

This is great giving it a try now.

We're getting a permission error to view the forum home but everything else seems to work fine except for a few missing images.

No HTTPS support as of yet... that would add export requirements to the app to include ssl libraries....

Is this for real? Users need to pay for an app to view my forum? Tell me I'm understanding this wrong and you guys are joking please. Also, I need adsense on my forum, there is no way around this. Will this hack violate their terms?

Someone has to pay for all the development that went into this app. You know to even have an app listed in Apple's store is $100 a year, even if it's a free app.

If you'd rather pay for it out of your pocket you can choose the "branding" link on their homepage and buy a version specific to your forum your users can download for free.

Does this app support custom bbcode smilies?

It does.

If you have custom smilies, the user can tap on the post when viewing it and it will load the custom smilies (and HTML / full BBCode) in a fast-loading window.

If you don't want your users to pay for it, then you can head on over to the support site and look for the "Branding" link on the top of the page. You can then request for your own app to be created and listed in the iTunes app store and Android Market.

For one of my sites (Walt Disney Boards) I may purchase the branding free version. I'll have to continue to do more research though to ensure that my folks would use the app as much as I would :)

Some notes after purchasing the app and installing this mod.

Things I like...

• I love the mod/admin options.
• It seems just a hair snappier than tapatalk.

Things that could be improved...

• Favorites on home screen. Would be one less click to get to content.
• Wish there were a light/dark option.
• Notifications - tapatalk does this better at the moment. It shouldn't need another account registration and there's no option to set a specific ringtone for Forum Runner notifications.

I'm really digging the app, but my main gripe is the notifications.

Also wish there was a cheaper branding option that smaller boards could afford. :)

I'm guessing you are running Android?

I will add the favorites on home screen in a future revision. Shouldn't be too hard. The light/dark option is another often requested feature. I'll look into this as well.

As for the Notifications, Tapatalk only supports notifications on Android. We have a generic system that will work on ALL devices (including future devices), which is why you require the login.
