Advantages of this one:
Works perfectly with themes, many different options

Disadvantages of this one:
Doesn't automatically pull threads, everything is manually done.

Combining it would be an excellent solution.

Great work btw.

Agreed...

Wild Bronco 04-22-2010 12:27 AM

Yes, Combining in a widget would be Ideal ;)

TNCclubman 04-22-2010 12:33 PM

Expect little to no support. The maker of this mod doesn't speak English well.

On the note of this mod checking it out now, looks nice as it is. A combination of this with the other mod posted early in this thread would be a great addition.

Me too.... currently going through a PayPal dispute claim based on lack of support from joomla and product not as describe.

They kept telling me to read the instructions, well it would help if the instructions worked!!!

ry215 04-23-2010 03:59 PM

hum.... report it to FBI bro
website scammer customer

simba6666 04-23-2010 06:37 PM

Great work :)
:up::up:
Is it work on vBadvanced ??

ry215 04-24-2010 04:37 AM

you can try it , i dont know

GamerPerfection 04-24-2010 06:04 AM

I know this is only for the forum at the moment, but is it possible to provide the coding to place on the front CMS page? I'm not suggesting Widget this time, but to place it on my front page so that I have it above my articles maybe, see here: http://www.gamerperfection.com

Because i don't want it on my forum, I want it on my main page. And the gits at joomlaworks are unwilling to help.

Weetabix 04-24-2010 07:41 AM

If you want this in your CMS, just copy and paste the forum home page source into a static html widget.

Turning on and off does not work..

abroad 04-25-2010 11:23 AM

I use 4 slides and the 3rd slide is always pointing to the same link as the 2nd slide. I also tried to use a different link and exchanged slide 3 with slide 1 or use a different URL but it does not help...

Turning on and off does not work

I'm with you. I can make the new static html widget no problem. The question is how do we have it ONLY work in the CMS main page and NOT the forum page? I can't image just copying the source code is going to manage that.

Noerenberg 04-25-2010 05:41 PM

exactly, how work this?..

Noerenberg 04-25-2010 06:08 PM

ok, alsoooooo, you must ready the content you turn on and copy the source from the forum home page and put this in a widget.
then you can putt off the add on. the widget work

indeed, i also just want it on my cms.
In the forum i dont have space for these things.

KSM899 04-25-2010 06:21 PM

If you want this on CMS , set whatever content you want in it , then save.
Go to your forum home page (where the slide show is) , then on your browser: View -> Source
a window will appear with all the css and HTML code , just go down till you see this line:
Quote:

<style type="text/css" media="all">
@import "slideshow/templates/TT/template_css_ie.css";
</style>
select from the begining of that line till this line:
Quote:

<!-- Slide Show by Keite v1.0 ands here -->
Go to ACP then CMS admin, create an HTML widget and paste the code in it ,
Bingo, it works!

However , every time u want to change the CMS slide u need to do the same process again as it doesn't do it auto!

good luck . and thanx for the great mod!

Sounds great.... BUT the idea is putting it on the CMS main page ONLY. Not just a copy from the forum page. The way that's been described here, we'll have the slide show in two places right?

Yes you will ..
If you want to display it on CMS only , then disable this mod from it's settings in the ACp , it will will still work in CMS
