I didn't take a code permission from original author IdanB yet. I would guess he will do not update his that hack, sorry.

I'm currently using Allan's hack, however.. his only display avatar on forumdisplay.. search results & new/today's posts are not included..

Cool idea, would be nice if this could take the place of those ugly envelopes to the left instead. This one just seems a tad messy. there has got to be something better/more useful to have than those dang envelopes.

Edit...wow somebody did that already. Sweet!

Edit again, I can't get anything to show up, that is sad. Tried every variation listed in this thread. i'm on 4.1.1

This is an excellent idea, and I was able to do it in the forum display with thread.avatarurl.

Is there a way for this to show up in the search results though? I've tried so many different codes in the template "search_threadbit" but none have worked. It would be awesome since the "What's New?" feature uses this, it is what people mostly look at.

If anyone knows how can you post an example code here so everyone can see? Thanks!
