You are correct Andrew. However, I planned on the product actually working and it never did. Never was it published for our members to play and it is not published for them to play today.

You see, I purchased the product back in September. About that time you abandoned your forum and your product. I sent a couple of PMs never a response. There was a lot of talk about whether you had gone to jail or why you weren't available. Everyone knows that you weren't on your forum from September until recently.

I had written the $45 I paid for the pro off. You see I purchased it in good faith. Well once I put the product on the site for mods to use, they told me it didn't work and the chess was freezing because that's all we wanted it for. So, after spending hours trying to find a solution and reading about your abrupt abandoning of your own forum and site, I gave up. I also explained to the new owner that your software was crap and not supported and we never used and that I was sorry it was advertised and didn't work. Luckily the buyer is moving it to a new software that his other forum is run on and he didn't want the game anyway.

Bottom line here is you dropped the ball on your paying customers. I wouldn't have asked for a refund on your site but the consensus was you vanished into thin air and your site was overloaded with spam. Good work BTW!

Keep the $45 I don't care. I purchase quality products from quality product producers all the time but I've yet to see one completely abandon their product after my purchase.

I don't own that forum anymore, like I said, I wrote it off, so did many others that bought your product. It was garbage then and based on our communication about it, it's still garbage. It's not my fault or anyone elses fault you didn't step up to the plate and support the products you sold.

So, in a nutshell, I don't need the $45. I was asking because you resurfaced and we never got to enjoy the $45.00 spent. Please go to the forum and see how many members ask for chess. Again, I'll repeat, it NEVER worked and you never supported it. It's not working today, wasn't working then and the new owner hasn't messed with the site since I sold it, that's why that garbage is till on there.

Take your $45.00 and keep it. Lesson learned.

BTW ... I edited the settings in the admin tab, in the gameroom , and switched tabs and I cannot see it anymore? Or am I just blind or something? I believe I changed administrator usergroup ids from 1 to 2 other numbers...one of those numbers IS my primary usergroup id number.

So what do I do now?

Can you have an option to not show the gameroom link in the tab bar.

Did you do the edit in both postbits? Postbit and Postbit legacy

Turn off the "gameroom_menu" plugin and move the link to whereever you like.

It's not user groups, its user id's, you just made someone else the admin.

In the archive there is a file called "makemeadmin.php", upload that and navigate to it while logged in, it will make you admin. After that delete the file.

You are probably using postbit_legacy, and would need to make the edit there.

Installed, and uninstalled.

Page load is dreadful.
Soon as it is setup, nothing gets saved.
Why have the interface thru front end and not back end.
Soon as you try and play a game, all the tabs go BLANK.

Have tried the makemeadmin.php fix, this did zilch.

Cleared cache and history, made no difference.
As its not supported, theres no point looking for a fix. Good luck to those that can get this working, alas nearly a 1 megabyte swf must be affecting us. So thanks but will have to give this a miss. ---- for now

I'm having the exact same issues.

It worked for a little bit but after I made some changes in the admincp, the tabs went blank. They're not viewable in any browser.

Installed, working great... Now I can finally upgrade to 4.0. Thanks a million for coming through with the new version. This is the only thing I've been waiting on besides vbcredits, and now I can upgrade my forums without having to hear about the missing gameroom for the rest of my life...

I realize this is for vB4.0, but if we install it on 3.8.5 will we get the extra games & features.?

There are no extra games and features, this is the same as the 3.8 version, for extra games or features you need to go to Andrew's website and pay for that version.
