Works Great for me. Nominated and installed!

Edit: One question, is there any way to get it so that the username who posted the photo/album will appear on this as opposed to just the album titles themselves?

Thank you!

Kolbi 03-10-2010 07:31 PM

Perhaps an additional function could be sorting the pictures sorted by last comment?

Interesting, I did that twice and the third time it worked.

Looks good. Marking as installed.

The product has been updated 3 times now I think. If you missed the notification then it wasn't obvious without a bug fix list, which is there now.:up:

oddmud 03-10-2010 09:09 PM

It works just perfectly. No blank page for me.

woffie 03-10-2010 09:16 PM

kho91 03-10-2010 09:33 PM

Brilliant! Thanks SO much for this much needed modification, I plan to take it online tonight as a matter of fact.

jhabers 03-11-2010 12:12 AM

sweet!!!

can you put a break here like this

Pictures:5Last
Picture:01-10-2010

to

Pictures:5
Last Picture:01-10-2010

or possibly replace or add the owner of the album to the preview?

Great work!

jhabers 03-11-2010 12:19 AM

Dropdown looks to be broke when not logged in, using IE8

VonDoom 03-11-2010 12:35 AM

Installed, tested, rated and nominated. Great work. Thanks for this very useful product.

attached is a PLUGIN to cache the template.

claystation 03-11-2010 01:48 AM

This is really awesome, there are albums that I didn't even know existed on my board and they are great! I do have a problem though, my thumbnails are bigger then the white background box behind them and the text that goes with the pictures gets cut off?

pjcnlv 03-11-2010 02:16 AM

Just need that nice pulldown menu in the navbar tabs.

This modification just pulls CSS the way vBulletin does the album templates by default (which is pretty nasty right now IMHO). It's not the fault of this mod.

If you want to make some adjustments, these two values will probably help point you in the right direction. Use values you want, then just stick them in your additional.css template so they override built-in values:

.albumlist_entry
#thumbnails li .picture

As an example only, mine are currently set to:

Code:

.albumlist_entry {
float:left;
height:200.04px;
margin-bottom:20px;
margin-left:25px;
margin-top:20px;
padding:0 15px 10px;
text-align:center;
width:150px;
}
#thumbnails li .picture {
display:block;
height:150px;
padding:10px;
width:150px;
}

If you upgraded from vb3 OR changed your attachment thumbnail size then you need to:

AdminCP->Maintenance->Update Counters->Rebuild Attachment Thumbnails

v1.03b fixes the layout problems Alien and others have noticed. You can also now control whether unregistered users can see the gallery menu (see first post) and view the thumbnail galleries.

x626xblack 03-11-2010 12:06 PM

Thanks! Installed! 5 Stars! MOTM! Finally!

Works GREAT!

x626xblack 03-11-2010 12:10 PM

Use this in conjuction with this add on and you have a tab that takes you directly to albums instead of having to use the drop down.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...highlight=Tabs.

My site has both running and it works great
www.gamergodz.com click the albums tab

It would be nice if the links worked so a guest could see them. I too get the same error.

Posts #38 and #61 show one way to do it (there are many!).

Markos 03-11-2010 02:48 PM

thanks that did the trick :)

VonDoom 03-11-2010 02:53 PM

Thanks for the update great work again

PixelFx 03-11-2010 03:08 PM

would it be possible for you to add child style support to albums? And or be able to add something to exclude albums per style, or is that out of the scope of your mod?

oddmud 03-11-2010 03:35 PM

Updated, love it.

Reef Man 03-11-2010 07:53 PM

Worked perfect for me on 4.0.2 PL1

I've no idea what you're talking about I'm afraid! If you give me a link to something that explains the issue I'll take a look at it (can't find anything in any vB docs - no surprise there :))

MooseMoney 03-11-2010 11:04 PM

Works perfectly!
Thank you so much!

kevinfx 03-11-2010 11:51 PM

i just installed the latest version and got this:

I realized I missed some templates in the cache call. Here it is attached please include this in your future products. You have 5 uncached templates.

Bojangles 03-12-2010 03:57 AM

Great mod! It works.. but I am having an issue with the formatting of the pictures and albums. Please see the screenshot below:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

I upped the max limit of displayed pictures and albums to 30 to try to compensate and fix it because it wasn't working with the default 10/25.

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

It look like the thumbnails might be different sizes - try AdminCP->Maintenance->Update Counters->Rebuild Attachment Thumbnails

I note you are running vb 4.0.1 - this mod has only been tested on 4.0.2 :)

XManuX 03-12-2010 08:15 AM

I wanted to give a bigger emphasis on the gallery, thus displaying the link in the main navbar, not in the "forum" sub-bar.

Here are the modifications in the navbar template :

Find:
Code:

{vb:raw template_hook.navtab_end}
Add Below:
Code:

<vb:if condition="!$vboptions['selectednavtab'] AND (THIS_SCRIPT == 'albumall' OR THIS_SCRIPT == 'album' OR THIS_SCRIPT == 'picall')">
                        <vb:if condition="$show['member']">
                                <li  class="selected"><a class="navtab" href="albumall.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}">Gallery</a>
                                <ul class="floatcontainer">
                                        <li><a href="picall.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}">Picture Gallery</a></li>
                                        <li><a href="albumall.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}">Album Gallery</a></li>
                                        <li><a href="album.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}do=latest">Latest Albums</a></li>
                                        <li><a href="album.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}u={vb:raw userinfo.userid}">My Albums</a></li>
                                        <li><a href="album.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}do=addalbum">Add Albums</a></li>
                                </ul>
                        <vb:else />
                                <li  class="selected"><a class="navtab" href="albumall.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}">Gallery</a>
                                <ul class="floatcontainer">
                                        <li><a href="picall.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}">Picture Gallery</a></li>
                                        <li><a href="albumall.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}">Album Gallery</a></li>
                                        <li><a href="album.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}do=latest">Latest Albums</a></li>
                                </ul>
                        </vb:if>
                <vb:else />
                        <li><a class="navtab" href="albumall.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}" >Gallery</a>
                </vb:if>

Find:
Code:

<vb:if condition="!$vboptions['selectednavtab'] AND THIS_SCRIPT != 'search'">
Replace With:
Code:

<vb:if condition="!$vboptions['selectednavtab'] AND THIS_SCRIPT != 'search' AND THIS_SCRIPT != 'albumall' AND THIS_SCRIPT != 'album' AND THIS_SCRIPT != 'picall'">
Done.

Note: the addition in navbar could be easily coded as a hook on navtab_end, not sure that the replacment could be achieved in a "clean" way (ie : not altering the navbar template)

Those are database connection errors and nothing to do with this mod.

The templates defined as $globaltemplates ARE cached by global.php - an extra plug-in isn't needed - unless I've missed something?

kevinfx 03-12-2010 03:44 PM

HCGB,
i understand, but do you have any ideas what's causing that since the whole forum is working perfectly and i'm not getting that error anywhere else?

Kolbi 03-12-2010 03:48 PM

Little issue: The template gallery_navbar is still there. Shouldn´t it be deleted?

Both fixed (hopefully :)) in latest version (v1.04b).
