thanks for the quick response and advice much appreciated. If I had this as a front page would people then automatically be directed to this when they typed in my website address if I actived the mod as required?? I want this to be the first page they see everytime they go to the website.
Also will it not cause any functionality issues with vb that they are not directed to normal front page. Sorry for all the questions |
Well,
hack installed on vB4.1.1. Works fine, but after disabeling the tab is still in the navbar. :( How can i get rid of this tab? |
Deinstalled.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate this work. It makes a nice clean page. I'm new at this and would like to make it so users arrive in the newly created page when they click my url. Right now they are still landing on the forums. Can you please tell me how to make the new page the first page users see?
I appreciate you! Chuck |

How can i get rid of this tab? Anyone know how to do this please |
Am I correct in thinking this keeps my standard header and footer and the custom page stuff just then fits in between the 2??
How do I get this to be the1st page people see when they visit my site and how does one remove the tab from the Navbar, there is no need for it if this is the 1st page people see when they type in my url. best regards and thans in advance Mark |
Awesome mate. Works like a charm on vb4.1.3
Installed. |
I'm gonna try this on my forum. I'll let you know how it comes out.
|
I LIKE IT!!!
After figgiting aroung converting the bbcode to html, it does just what I want it to do. Thanks borbole. Oh btw I'm running 4.1.2. Slid right in and fired right up. Test Page |
I liked this mod but found another that can add as many pages as I wish so I uninstalled this one. It's still showing up in my AdminCP even though I uninstalled it, meaning it's not listed under Plugins but still has the drop down menu in the left hand column. How can I get rid of this?

Sorry guys just noticed this. You can find it here. It takes a little bit more time to figure out at first but is amazing. I still can't get rid of the "Custom Pages" tab in my admincp though!
|
Has anyone tried this in 4.1.12?
|
Now the mod is expanded that it will allow you to add unlimited custom pages. I updated the first post with the new info.

Hi:
First, I like this mod. However, it would be more features like adding it to the navbar under different navtab. Second, I have some other mods installed and the mods did not show up or if it showed up, it was not right. How can I get this to work with different mods installed? For example, I installed Ticker underneath the navbar. After using this customepage, the Ticker format is done, the picture is done and theonly thing left is the margee running from left to right without any format. Do I have to use <style> command for this to get it works? Victor |
Can you post a screenshot of the areas that you mean?
|
This may prove useful once I get around to finish the music portion of my site using Wimpy. Tagged.

Hi Borbole
Great mod thanks, just having problems with unlimited pages. Only shows up as custom page, no options for adding more pages. Any ideas would be great. Cheers Dave |

Hi Dave. The mod uploaded here is the Lite version which support only a custom page. To add unlimited custom pages is possible at the premium mod and can be purchased at my forum. http://www.forumservices.eu/vb/showt...d-Custom-Pages |

Do you mean the installation instructions? They are at the mod description in the very first post. |

This works great. I first downloaded the one page here and realized I needed more. Initially I thought it was not translating the html well but, it was my error. It's really easy to use and I'm glad I got the pro version! Keep up the good work please. :)

No problem. :)

This is a great mod and I am marking as installed. It works fine with 4.2
The only issue I had was having the new pages use the same width and border graphics as my existing pages. To solve this I replaced the header info on the custompages section of my templates with the header info from my forum page and it worked out ok with the exception that the new tabs do not stay highlighted but the forum one does. I'm sure that's due to my using the forum header code so I need to figure that one out. Anyway, super mod!! |
I may have found the problem. I think the tabs the mod creates are not being added into the tab collection that's checked in the navbar_tabs code to determine which tab should be marked as selected and highlighted:
Code:
<vb:each from="tabs" value="tab" key="tabid"> |
ok..here's a solution to getting the tabs for the new pages to stay selected when displaying the new page.. It's not pretty but it does work:
1)Use the mod to create your new pages 2)Display each page and copy the url in notepad or something because you need it in the following steps. 3) Disable this mod (don't uninstall it - just disable it). This will cause the tabs that the mod created to not show on the nav bar. 4) If you created more than 1 new page then for each page create a copy of custompages.php in your forum root. I named my cloned php files as custompages2.php, custompages3.php.... 5) In each cloned php file change the script name in the THIS_SCRIPT entry. I changed mine to the name of the cloned file (custompages2, custompages3,....) 6) Now go to the Navigation Manager and for each new page you created add a new tab and put the new page URL's in the URL setting and put the corresponding script name from your clone php file in the script entry. Now close your site and open it again to open of your existing pages. Then click on one of the new tabs and it should display your new page that you created with this mod and the tab should stay selected. I'm not happy about having to clone files but it does solve the problem I need to point out that if you do not change the script names in your cloned php files then the first tab for your new pages will always be marked as selected whenever you display any of the new pages. This is because all the tabs for the new pages will be set with the same script name. |
I installed this, but it messed up one of the other tabs that I had.... when I removed the product, the tab that it messed up went blank...... How do I re-add the name of the tab that went blank?
|
If you're on 4.2 then you should be able to do this using the Navigation Manager
|
Running 4.1.3
