Could it be that you have your sidebar on the left, ours is on the right? Not sure how that would cause it, but that's the only difference I see off the bat

almannai 01-27-2010 11:29 AM

SemperFideles screenshot is on the left

I've check it on the right and left and can't re-produce this

could you please put your forum url?

Sure:

http://www.nmoffroad.com/forumvb/forum.php

Like I said, I can't reproduce this either, as I don't have IE8. But one of my members (actually a Mod) showed me that.

hiker 01-27-2010 01:00 PM

Does somebody have a screenshot that I could check out? Is this a floating sidebar that follows the scroll, or is it static?

This sounds like exactly what I need. Thanks.

JasonReynolds 01-27-2010 01:34 PM

does not work

The Text box becoming very wide in the Quickreply is not replated to this mod. This is happening to members and mod's and not admin's (That is way I couldn't see it before). Without installing this mod using IE8 if you resize your browser the textbox of the quixkreply will not resize and this is only happening in IE8.

I'v reported this as a bug in vbullerin.com.

ndut 01-27-2010 07:51 PM

From admincp go to "Forums & Moderators" then "Forum Blocks Manager" and add your block to be displayed in your sidebar

Also you need to enable sidebar from "Forum Sidebar and Block Options" in admincp settings options

assassin85 02-01-2010 12:30 AM

great mod , but still require some modifications

for example : when forum closed , the sidebar shows

DaPro 02-01-2010 12:49 AM

Nice mod, worked great. Can it be extended to work with vBadvanced and also show under profile views and usercp?

Sotonforum.co.u 02-01-2010 05:12 PM

this doesnt appear to be working on my forum. where is the sidebar?
i have enabled it in options, and regarding the forum blocks manager... what exactly am i supposed to do here? i have added/removed/updated the blocks yet NONE appear on the forum. what is going on!?

Eq4bits 02-01-2010 06:53 PM

Lovely and just what I needed. Installed, rated 5 stars, and works a charm!
Thank you!

Ted S 02-01-2010 08:52 PM

Very handy mod. I'd suggest an option to turn off the feature for various pages people may not want the sidebar on every page but I've just gone ahead and removed the hooks from the xml to get the right balance.

After enabling sidebar from options and adding blocks do you see the sidebar at forumhome?

No. I have enabled blocks, removed blocks, looked EVERYWHERE... still no sidebar.

Sotonforum.co.u 02-04-2010 05:24 PM

I downloaded the xml again and re-installed and it's working now. Don't understand why it wasn't working before.

PcGamer 02-04-2010 05:37 PM

Thanks again... Downloaded the new update and it's nice to have all the option of pages to choose from.

It would really REALLY be nice if we could place the side bar on custom pages. :)
Good work!

assassin85 02-04-2010 09:11 PM

from admincp open plugin manager then at "Product : EveryWhere Sidebar" edit global_start in the php code find

PHP Code:

if ($vbulletin->options['bbactive'] and $vbulletin->options['esidebar_switch']) {

replace it with

PHP Code:

if ($vbulletin->options['esidebar_switch']) {

save it and you are done

know sidebar will be shown even when your forum is closed

darren1981 02-05-2010 05:30 AM

If you mean showing sidebar in what's new it is part of the mod search option.

If you want to show latest post block this is controled from

Admincp --> Forums & Moderators --> Forum Blocks Manager --> Add New Block --> Forum Threads

darren1981 02-05-2010 09:50 AM

Any way to set the sidebar to an "OPEN" status by default ??

I only seem to be able to view it after clicking the button, but i notice on VBulletin.com that the sidebar is always open... Thanks in advance for any help on this one, Cheers (website in question is in my sig, you will notice it is shut by default :S )

Rob F 02-05-2010 03:00 PM

delmarva 02-05-2010 04:26 PM

If the sidebar is open it will stay open all the time and vis versa. This behavior is same as vbulletin default. This mod didn't changed this behavior.

check it and you will see what i mean :)
