My settings does not allow messages under 10 chars but the tries I'm doing are always more that that. If I don't use the quick reply box everything work fine.

I don't know if it's related but I've installed alto the MARCO1 advanced quick reply.

Sorry it was not this mod's problem...

Great Work. Many thanks to you Paul :)

Citizen 01-19-2010 04:44 PM

Is there a way to have no time limit? Meaning a post will always count as a double post?

I can only guess that you have something else installed that is causing that, it does not happen by default.

You can just set a very large limit.

Pro-eSports.com 02-20-2010 03:38 AM

Working perfectly. Awesome mod Paul.

Where can I center the various spacer options?

Paul M 02-20-2010 11:43 AM

There are no specific options to do that - but I guess you could edit the phrases to include centering html.

GO > LANGUAGE AND PHRASES > SEARCH IN PHRASES > SEARCH FOR TEXT > Search in ... > Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name > FIND

pdp_spacer1

edit > copy default > and add

HTML Code:

[center]
[SIZE=1]---------- Post added {3}at {1} ---------- Previous post was {4}at {2} ----------[/SIZE]
[/center]

SAVE!

=========================

pdp_spacer2

edit > copy default > and add
HTML Code:

[center][SIZE=1]---------- Post added {1} at {2} ----------[/SIZE][/center]

akvaryumforum 02-24-2010 12:50 PM

Is there a way to make the time different for different forums?

Like;

In Forum A the messages merged in 60 minutes
In Forum B the messages merged in 180 minutes

No, there is only one (global) time limit.

RedHacker 03-06-2010 12:24 PM

Paul M yesterday one of Administrator in my forum had post in one thread at:

05-03-10 20:41
05-03-10 20:49
05-03-10 20:53

In settings timespan are: 480 minutes
The Usergroups/Forums to be Excluded are: 0

But not work.. Why...? I have 4.0.2 PL1

Paul M 03-06-2010 02:05 PM

No idea.

Forum Lover 03-07-2010 01:17 AM

Paul, I need just an extra feature please. I want to exclude thread openers. I mean a thread opener can post in his thread anytime they want and their post will not marge in their threads.

How can I make it please?

Paul M 03-07-2010 09:49 AM

You cannot do that without editing (adding) code.

Forum Lover 03-07-2010 10:55 AM

Would appreciate highly If you please make it. Non coder is here.

Paul M 03-07-2010 12:18 PM

I will try and consider it for the next update - however, I cannot say when that will be.

Forum Lover 03-07-2010 09:13 PM

Thanks Paul. Waiting most eagerly. :)

Trumpetrhapsody 03-10-2010 01:18 AM

Another nice feature addition would be the option to send a customizable PM to any user that kicks this mod into action.

Kind of like a "we fixed this post for you, try not to do it again" kind of thing.

The mod is awesome, but it only fixes the problem, not eliminate the cause ;)

Forum Lover 03-13-2010 05:43 AM

Thanks for the update. :)

physiart 03-13-2010 05:55 AM

I've tried to install the update and I had the following MySQL error:
Code:

UPDATE vp_template SET
                styleid = -10
            WHERE product = 'paulm_pdp_40' AND styleid = -1;

MySQL Error  : Duplicate entry 'editor_clientscript_pdp--10-template' for key 'title'
Error Number  : 1062

Now, the product is not displayed in the product list at all...
Any suggestions how to recover it?

READ the announcement.

Please note that template is the table name and should be typed exactly as is unless you use any tablename prefix (e.g. vb3_template).

RedHacker 03-13-2010 02:33 PM

OK I put vb_template and work....

borbole 03-13-2010 02:33 PM

I think this mod should be included as a standard built in feature for vb as it is very useful.

Alien 03-13-2010 04:37 PM

This says that the mod was updated yesterday, yet still says 4.0.1? Did you update it, or did you just update something else in your original post and not the attachment?

The mod works fine with 4.0.2 as well.
