I also get that error sometime when a link doesn't exist. ( Well it does, but its a vbSEO problem I know )

And The sitemap hack isn't working for me either. ( Blank page )
The thing is it did before I re-done my whole site, from ground-up. ( Fresh install )

But other than that, works fine. I think the pro's out weigh the con's here.

Must be remove from server the file of vbSEO...?

Forum Lover 01-11-2010 03:01 AM

How can we have it for another language. My language Bangla is not there. :(

linuxututs 01-11-2010 06:56 AM

Hey Mike,

Just checking my Webmaster account and found this today.

Quote:

Show URLs: HTTP (91) - In Sitemaps (10) - Not followed (16) - Not found (8,285) - Restricted by robots.txt (321) - Timed out (1) - Unreachable (61)
I check the translated ( All the errors are from the translated Links ) links, and I get page not found vBulletin error, but as soon as I switch to English the page loads to the correct forum/thread.

Any ideas Mate?

Thanks,

The truth is that this integration for Sitemap Generator is taken from previous version and it was not tested - I will mark it in first post and test it again :)

Drop down menu is supported in paid version. Free one allows to customize place for flags shown one after another.

Thanks,

NLP'er, Just so you know this conflicts with vbcms widgets, when this is enabled i cannot configure widgets(new or existing), but when this is disabled i can configure widgets, No big deal, only takes a few seconds to disable before configuring either new or existing widgets..

This was happening on vb4 PL1 and now on vb4.01

lol.. No worries, I was trying to figure it out yesterday afternoon, I even opened a support ticket at vb.com and had Steve Machol helping me to figure out with no joy, only stumbled upon it this morning after updating to vb4.01 :)

taffy056 01-13-2010 07:08 PM

think this gives a white screen in the cms, just upgraded to 4.0.1 and it gives a 500 internal error when enabled

Great mod indeed. I have a question if you allow me:
I am in a urgent need for a translation service and this mod works just fine, my problem is that I have different forum categories with different languages. But you can set only one language in the adminCP, so when translating, almost all other languages are ignored. IS there a way for a language detection?

Language detection is provided in paid version (please note that paid version will be ready for vBET 4.0 in Match). There language detection is made only when new new post arrives - not for existing one (for performance reason). So if you decide for paid version (after vBET 4.0 which will be in March) then you will be forced to edit existing posts in other languages and add special BBCode there. Paid version of vBET allows to write messages in different languages :) If you have more questions about this version please ask here:

Ryacine, the person coming onto your site can just click the flag of their countries choice to translate the others

(I think)

I'll do a test on my site and get back to you on here

Unfortunately it will not work. When vBET sends request to Google for translation it tells what is source language (this is what you select as forum default language) and what is desired language. If source language is wrong, then for Google it is gibrish and result is usually empty or not translated at all.

You know the best tour forum :) But... it is not misery why only natives are using your forum if you didn't get a chance for others before ;)

Thank you Delilas for your answer. The mod woks like a charm as you said, just by clicking the flag, translation is performed.
My problem is that, my forum is like this:
  • Many forums and Categories in English
  • A categroy of froums in French
  • Another Category in Spanish
  • Another one in Protuguese
  • Yet another one using Italian
But in the AdminCP options, you must set the forum language, only one language, so I chose let's say "English", so if a user hits one flag all the English content is translated, but not the others, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian will not be translated. My question was: is there a way for language detection or some other method so that all my content is translated?

Shortly - not in this version. In paid one also not fully automatic (for old posts) - please see answer for your previous post for details:

Michal, on my forum in recent days, when i click on a language, it doesn't change the language at all.

If I hover over a flag with my mouse, it gives the correct url for that country, ie; /forum/ca/forum.php, but once I click on it, it goes to /forum/forum.php

It looks like a rewrite problem, can you advise on what to do on this? I have changed the .htaccess file to the same as your test zone, and although it works on the CMS pages, it doesn't work on the forums.

It worked before - not working now. The main question is - what was changed in this time? Please give me URL to your main forum - I want to see it in action (sometimes it helps ;)). If not I will ask you for more details. You can PM me this.

Please upload all files from upload directory. Id you did it - do it again (there could be some FTP issue before). Let me know does it still happen - in such case please PM me access details to your FTP and Admin CP.

Can you add me URL where the issue exists?

For sitemap generator it was added not that it wasn't tested yet on vBSEO 3.5 - so yes it is not working - sorry. I will handle this, just not right now.

2nd issue is because of first one. 1st one - I need more details - please PM me access details to your FTP. I checked line 3900 in class_core.php - there is template evaluation, but I do not know what template causes you this issue and what is its content. This is what I need to know to help you.
