Thanks for the quick edits, I just donated.
I am just trying to tweak and make sure all the color schemes are easily seen. Could you tweak these parts: http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/5284/redu.png When the mouse is hovered over, the font obviously becomes red. Could you just leave it white, just like the other drop down menus remain white when hovered upon (to the right of it). Red on that shade of gray becomes not that easily seen on low brightness monitors. Sort of the same principle here: http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/527...00122at112.png The white font that doesn't have the black rectangle around becomes sort of out of focus on low brightness displays. Maybe making the font black will give it better contrast. The same thing to the "Remember Me" font when the user isn't logged in. Thank you sir. |
Thanks for the donation.
I have fixed your requests as well. One thing to note: The top links color is always going to be the same color as the "Register color" so Changing that to black will make it more visible from inside, but the register will be black, which is semi less visible with the current background. I can change that background color of the tab, but it will affect the color of that nav tab box. that surrounds [community] drop down. Right now it blends with the background. You can see the demo before downloading to see what I'm talking about. |
Thanks for working with me Dave.
Seems like we ran into another small bug though, when there is a notification the background color surrounding the link is too dark... http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/7723/54418940.jpg Could you also change the font on the login button to white and bold (instead of black) for better clarity? And I by far prefer the register and help font links to be white then black... Thanks again for taking the time to tweak this style for perfection. |
Hey sorry about the late response. I've been working on Pixel lately.
To fix the top: go to stylevars: toplinks : change color of links. Might be easier to tell you how to do it. :) |
Thanks for that, it seems to be the best option.
|
Sorry I haven't been able to respond to your questions. I've designed up http://stylevars.com interface. Please refer any specific theme changes and make the necessary changes.

daveaite, that's awesome dude, hands down!

Thanks :) Took a long time

I love this style, great job! It is very clean and sleek looking...
However i do have a slight problem. Keep in mind that I'm new to this sort of thing. Lloaded it fine, but it will not take on my CMS page. My forum and Blog page adapts well. Is there something that I'm over looking to get my CMS page to accept the style? i even went to the CMS page and in the style sector chose the style and it would not change to it. I'm sure therre is something I need to do that I'm ignorant to, but i was hoping if someone could shed some light on it for me... |
Very, very nice usage of colors. Love the simplicity. If you had custom icons and tweaked it a bit more, I would use it definitely! Might try and improve it a bit with icons, once I find more free time.

Thanks for the compliments btw. |
I installed this new style (but it merged with my default style and my other styles that I have on my server...I made sure "create new style" was highlighted.
Is there an easy way to uninstall it and re-install it correctly. I really like the design. Thanks, Ed |
Interesting, it should've not have done that lol. You mustve merged it.
Either way, just get a copy of a the default theme. Install that. Delete your old default. Re-install this theme. Should work, never tested it though. lol Wierd case. |

However, I have a few stylevar questions for this current theme which I just can't seem to find, I would appreciate your assistance if you please could. How do I change the text color of the navigation breadcrumb? If you aren't sure by what I mean, this is the clickable section that shows you the directory of the forum category and subcategories you are currently in. Also, how do I change the hoverover text color, regarding the tabs when viewing a member's profile? Thanks |
Compatible w/vB4.0.2 :)
|
David,
Nice work! Just what I was looking for... nice and simple! Lots of work left to do, but you'll get the general idea. Here it is... http://www.outlawdragbike.com Thank You! Gary |

I wish you would stop ignoring me. You selectively answer to my PMs.
When my mouse is hovering over, the font in the tab becomes red and the text is not visible. Do you have a solution? And I brought up this problem to you previously, you stated that is a problem with vBulletin 4 Gold. Well, not so. I am using 4.0.2 PL1 and If I switch back to the default vBulletin style this problem does not exist. See how the tables overlap? This happens in Internet Explorer. For some users, the overlapping is much more extreme (maybe it depends on the screen resolution?) and a lot of text is cut off. If you are not up to the task of fixing these errors, please just state so instead of ignoring me. I donated to help your contribution to the community, even though it was not much I still like to think of the principle. Thanks for your understanding. |
Hey, sorry, I get alot of pms, not only from vbulletin, but from my own sites as well. That along with 4 different emails and responding to inquiries from over 10 theme threads to respond to. I'm not purposely ignoring you. Just overwhelmed at times with these questions. I've been also building stylevars.com to prevent less questions from being asked and just having people refer to that, which saves alot of time from my side and your side. On top of that I'm in my senior year of engineering at fsu, trying to finish up my bachelors degree and my senior design project among other school related classes.
The overlapping boxes, I'll take a look at tonight along with the hover over red tab. Also, questions in pms about specific themes are better asked in forum threads so that I don't have to answer the same questions in PMs as I do in threads. Removes redundancies. Thanks for posting it here, I'll get back to you soon either with an update or a response. |
Okay, I shall be patiently waiting.
|
Okay. Currently this is how the tabs are set up.
Part 1: Profile tabs -Whatever the stylevars is for the navtab will be the same styling for profiletabs. So the stylevars for the both tabbing is the same. I'll have to edit the hardcoding of the css to get it to work. Fixed Part 2. Overlapping Does not occur in Firefox. In windows explorer it might..but thats not a theme issue, thats a vbulletin issue. This theme does not control or affect any of the functions of vbulletin software...i.e the way it performs according to window size etc. So whether vBulletin will fix this glitch in I.Explorer, thats up to them. I hear they are having some compatibility problems with internet explorer. So this issue will only be fixed when they fix it, and the theme should "fix itself" when they do that. |
thanks
|
Try again. :)
|
Works fine :)
Is there a separate stylevar that I can change the color of the text for the tab that is already open, when my mouse is hovering over it? Referring to the profile page. Thanks |
What color would you like it, I'll change it. Its hard coded into CSS so its difficult to find.
|
Black
Appreciate it. |
Alright, done.
