How to do this if I am using more styles ? How can I set the CMS to choose the style that the user has ?

I mean I dont want just one style for the CMS

I have to agree with you, the text in the edit boxes is almost unusable, and since its a forum with alot of typing, my users have given this theme a thumbs down. I like the theme alot myself, and hope to see either this issue resolved or instuctions on how to adjust the colors ourselves.

The edit box in the standard theme is fine. For some reason in FireFox, its white text on grey, unless you click out of the box, then the text becomes black, until you click back into the box. In IE its always black. I originally thought, well I will just change the background of the edit box to white, but this then kills the firefox users.

I think if you just set the input text to be white, we'd be golden.

and yeah, the wysiwyg is white text on white background making it unusable.

Still I want to say, this is a great start for a theme and I really enjoy it. Thanks for all your hard work.

I believe the setting you are looking for is "inherited" on the style selection after clicking the pencil.

I appreciate your support. However, the white background is entirely different depending upon browser capabilities and various other factors.

The reason is because the stylevars are incomplete. vBulletin has not yet released a version where stylevars can edit the background. In the next update i will do what i can to edit the css templates so the backgrounds appear to be the same color across all browsers.
For now, some users report that changing the text editor mode may solve the problem.

Currently correcting the css templates, adding a blank banner, and making an alternative skin with silver/white text instead of light blue.

I can't seem to find the updated skin. The file here is still the original version released on 1/1. Could you possibly reupload it here?

I am still working on it. vBulletin may be releasing a new version soon. Hopefully this will improve the stylevars so we don't have to rely upon the css templates.

this is a great looking style...but I can't get it to look that good on mine...

it changed some of the template but I still have a board that looks like the default board. No color change...

Hey bro we got a problem over at our forum not sure if it's you or us but i'll ask anyways. If you go to your settings and try to do anything such as change avatar or password or something it just will not show up. I've got a screen shot for you maybe you can make some sense of it.

This issue has been resolved already. Please download the latest version of DarkVision which has many bug fixes.

i have upload the darkvision to cpstyles. Buth i dont see the banner.

Are you installing this for the first time?

If so, you must upload the .xml file too via admincp>styles>upload

Problem solved after i see thats it work on IE8.

Inside the banner is a http req ;) Ands its going to several (dark) sites witch are automatical are blocked bij adblock pro inside firefox. I have deleted that http req and its showing now.

why cant a person easily change the font color to something that the board wants...?

Gah!! I installed the latest version and all of a sudden my Currently Active Users widget vanishes from the front page!!

If I go back to the XML prior to the latest one, it's there and working fine! What happened?
Oh, and I still don't know how to make it show avatars on the main CMS page for the author of the article!

sorry but this is just another "skin" that just has changed color and images frm the default vb skin.
thats why i dont go vb4.0 yet, all the skins are too much alike.

vBulletin has implemented a stylevars system that makes css depreciated. That being said, the stylevars system is incomplete so it is very difficult to make necessary changes.

The skin should not affect widgets and avatars. Try disabling, then re enabling it. If it doesn't work, try installing another skin to see if it is indeed the skin's doing.

We haven't done any image slicing yet for the forums because vBulletin 4 is not in the stage where it can actively support such features.

I know impulse but no where in his files is it a hard coded color. Also the text color isnt in the stylevars......

The blue is 76e4fb. So I just put a check in "Hide Variables" in the Style Variable Editor. Then went through and clicked on each main box such as Blocks, Blog, Calendar..... and did a Ctrl F in Firefox for that html code, 76e4fb. Everywhere it came up I changed it to my desired color.

Are you trying to change the board font color? or the font color when typing into the text editor? or are you trying to change the color of the link font?

The side should be a background image that spans the entire board. Did you happen to leave out some to the images or make any stylevars edits? If you didn't try reuploading all of the images into "*your forum url*/cpstyles/darkvision".

If your looking to change the light blue, the font color is: 76e4fb. You can either search for it in the stylevars yourself, or wait until we release this skin in white/silver font.

There is a specific stylevars named something along the lines of icon size. Try searching size and you should find it. The size is in terms of px.

Just puth a other clean banner.png in it. The banner now is sending info to (dark) .ru sites.
I have asking my host to check it and he was agree with my conclusion. The firewall on the host server was directly blocked that banner also.

Thats why the banner isnt also show with users with adblock pro.

I was unaware that images could do such things. We had a designer improve our banner into what it is now. I will try fixing this in the next update.
