I uploaded and made all the changes. But I can't get the CMS to change!

What am I doing wrong ?

Also as I am new to Vbulletin... not sure what this means above "use the pencil icon and change the theme to the new style instead of default style."

If you select the theme from the drop down menu, it still won't change.

Thanks.

On any article on the front page (I always choose the first one on top) you can change the style and that will apply it to the whole CMS. Have a look at these screenshots.

Please help me fix, when i upgrade vbulletin 4.0.1!

Before upgrade 4.0 to 4.0.1:

After upgrade:

Thanks!

ericgtr 01-22-2010 12:27 PM

So after the upgrade it's wrapping? The second one looks better IMO but that's just me. ;) At the moment I don't have 4.0.1 but after I upgrade I'll address this.

mrworkrate 01-22-2010 05:09 PM

Any help as to how you configured your postbit_legacy? Mine is looking all twisted

The text wrapping in first and last post in a thread is a bug in 4.0.1 and has nothing to do with your style. The bug is fixed in the upcoming 4.0.2

ChopSuey 01-25-2010 09:19 AM

Hopefully this is updated for 4.0.1

You can always change the color for the header stylevar to match your logo, even though it's a gradient this should be close #07285e

Sure, in your AdminCP click on Styles & Templates > Style Manager > (vB4 Blue) select StyleVars from the dropdown menu > search for header_background and you can change the color there. Please click Install if you use this. :)

In Join Date, the fate displays with a % sign in front of each variant. Is there a way to edit this in templates?

Sounds like a modification, probably one that previously required you to manually edit the postbit. I would check back through them and see which one it is and apply it to the new template.

miket1234 02-01-2010 07:27 PM

eric i have a problem with your style:
On posts (lets say the first one) where is a Google Adsense ad, the quoted text "eats" from ads.

Here is a pic:

Can you fix it???
Looks so awesome!!!

Thanks
Mike

rinunez 02-01-2010 08:06 PM

To fix the postbit alignment problem You can Do this:

Search in postbit_legacy:

Code:

<div class="content<vb:if condition="$post['isfirstshown'] || $post['islastshown']"> has_ad</vb:if>">
Replace with this:

Code:

<div class="content">
Thats It, originally in Spanish: http://www.vbhispano.com/foros/f99/t...lla_que-16955/

miket1234 02-02-2010 09:29 AM

Are you sure you don't have any other modifications applied to your postbit?

miket1234 02-02-2010 06:06 PM

yessssssss I found a solution

I copied the Postbit legacy from the Default Style 4.0.1 and now works perfectly

rinunez 02-02-2010 09:52 PM

It Works fine with me.

Fair enough, when I see 467 downloads and 114 installs it seems a little lopsided so that's why I ask, but that's the nature of the system I suppose.

Desibabu19 02-09-2010 07:50 AM

Hi,
I just installed your style. I like it.

During installation I made a mistake. I think overwrite the default css options of vb.
Now only one style is available and that is with vb4_blue.

My idea is to create child style and keep both available to visitors. I want to have both styles.

How do I revert to Default Style ? And how to install the vb_4 blue as child style ?

I tried Style Manager >> Default Style >> Revert all templates - It did not work.

Please help me.

Sure, you can always add back the default style by going to Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style (at the bottom). That will create a fresh default template.

ericgtr,

Thanks. I got it working.

wolfyman 02-13-2010 12:26 PM

ok... where the heck is the CSS setting for the background? Right now it's #647795 for the background, I want to change it to black on my testing forums so I can easily keep them straight and I can't find it!!!!

Also, once I find that - I have ONE forum that I would like to add a special bg image to - where and how would I do this?

Thanks!

Veneti 02-14-2010 06:03 PM

This style is no good it would seem for 4.0.1 at the upload in cpanel admin...

This file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.

Your version: 4.0.1
File version: 4.0.0

Err.. Fail.

Nice style though.... #

Nb: I wish I could get my admin panel to show the old blue color... its now some disgusting silver like the inside of a metal tank...

Have a look for doc_background in you stylevars, that should do it for you. You can add a background image and define how it's displayed there too.

You can check ignore the style version when installing, this works fine in 4.0.1 as well.

djbaxter 02-17-2010 01:39 AM

This style was working in 4.01.

Broken in 4.02.
