Ok I forgot to replace a instance of code.

I had to replace it twice in my code instead of once should be all fixed now.

Sorry about the half fix. Let me know how this fix works.

cloferba 01-07-2010 06:00 PM

it seems to be too space between options

i mean..on default vb installation space between user profile option..and send a pm option is less than the image attached to this thread

GrossKopf 01-07-2010 06:16 PM

I have the option turned on to have the admin links enabled, but they aren't showing up.

I did not change the spacing and the second thing is it is all default VB code.

You will have to play with your CSS.

Guess I'll just have to live without the admin commands then because it isn't working on my forum. :(

Can you go to your plugin manager and make sure the three plugins below Are set to active?

Product : BBR - Useful Links on Member Action Dropdown.
Memberaction Dropdown - Cache
Memberaction Dropdown - Manage Member
Memberaction Dropdown - Template Replacement

Especially the one in red.

There is not much I can do to help you. If all your telling me is it is not working.

Thanks a lot

I installed this and found that if I banned someone, the manage tools would not show up anymore for that user. I corrected that by changing the group IDs in the xml file but now once I ban the user, I dont have the options to unban or edit the reason.

The last thing is it would be nice if the tools opened a new window for us to set the ban.

any suggestions as to what might be causing that? other than these 3 issues, I'm liking it!

BBR-APBT 01-10-2010 09:18 PM

I set the mod that if they were banned it would show you the unban or change ban reason,
if they are not banned then all you see is ban user.

You must of changed some code and messed up somewhere.

chrisvonc 01-11-2010 01:46 AM

No I didnt I'm sorry to say.

I installed it as downloaded from here. When it showed the issues I noted above, the only change to the xml I made after was to add the suspended group id which corrected that but the other 2 issues still showed up.

FWIW I'm on vBulletin 4.0.0 Patch Level 1 with no other products installed.

BBR-APBT 01-11-2010 11:58 AM

Did you change all the default user groups of vbulletin its self?

maybe a screen shot of what exactly is going on.

Urgh... good call! After reading your tip, I looked at the user group IDs. For some reason when I set up my vB years ago, I must have created another user group before I created the 'suspended" group. My group id for the banned/suspended group was different than the default.

I made the correction in the xml file to reflect that groups ID and its working great!!

Thank you so much for help!

The only thing I would love to see added if it could be done, is have the functions open a new window to moderate the user rather than navigate away from the thread.

Thanks again!

BBR-APBT 01-11-2010 03:17 PM

I will add target="_blank" next version. I didn't do it cause I use firefox and I always hit open in new tab.

chrisvonc 01-11-2010 03:35 PM

Thank you again for the help.

CheeSie 01-12-2010 09:56 PM

Could you add a link to edit the user.. like if you searched for the user via the admin cp and then view the whole edit page :)?

TimberFloorAu 01-21-2010 06:28 PM

Great Mod. SLight spelling mistake in the xml. Have changed.

find
Code:

<phrase name="bbr_edit_forumprem" date="1261859661" username="George" version="1.0"><![CDATA[Edit Forum Premmisions]]></phrase>
I have changed to ( because it sits now in the dropdown box )
Code:

<phrase name="bbr_edit_forumprem" date="1261859661" username="George" version="1.0"><![CDATA[Edit Permissions]]></phrase>

BBR-APBT 01-21-2010 06:49 PM

Thanks will fix in the next update.

With trying to keep all these mods updated and working with all the suggestions, sometimes typos happen.

Rob F 01-30-2010 11:48 PM

Installed and working exactly as described. :)

Thanks BBR-APBT :D

Trek 01-31-2010 01:59 AM

Can we get the ban user to do a few more things?

I'd like to do the following or have the option when banning a user.
  • Add their IP to the banlist
  • Delete all forum posts
  • Delete all sent/received PMs
Really nice/useful mod though, thank you!

Well If I add to many more the pop up is going to be bigger then browser window.

How ever I guess I can add a ton more on and off switches. ;)

Maybe have it ask those questions when you select BAN? So it's still one option on the menu, but when you click it, you're prompted for what you want to do?

Thanks!
