quick question if i was too add 2 input fields Username and password to login through the custom close would that be hard to add?

No it wouldn't actually. You could just copy the code from the navbar template to do just that actually. That way people can still sign in on the custom page you set up.

im total noob i managed to use the login field in the custom page now im just wondering how can i use custom page but while having the site not closed lol, it would kinda be used as a splash/front page if you know what i mean... i know it isnt part of our mod just wondering if i could get any advice ,

You can put it anywhere you can get to it. I put mine in /images , but you could just as easily put it on Flickr. Remember, this is a complete HTML page, so anything HTML can do is fair game.
