Where does it place this interactive tab?

You choose in admincp, where the product is shown:
  • below all forums on FORUMhome
  • on top after navbar

Thank you

Hello, there is a security issue here with private forums.

I have a particular forum where a user can post a new thread/topic, but cannot read any other threads/posts. However, this add-on will display the thread title for those threads in the same forum --- which the user is not supposed to see.

Can you please fix this asap.

If it is not clear what I am talking about, you can go to my forum, and create a new thread in the "Custom Programming" section (last forum on the forum home). It should be clear then or I can clarify.

Mike

This is a security bug. This product shows all thread titles if the forum itself can be viewed by the user. The product does not check whether titles are allowed to be displayed or not. Currently I unfortunately do not have the time to fix it, this product is allowed to be used from other coders to modify and make a better product out of it.

Would it be possible then for you to please make one tiny change to allow an "excluded" forum list on the control panel, a place to put forum ID's that this should not show up under.

Mike

Forgive me for being dense..

Is this just a personal forums tab thang ?

Or is it the ability for members to create and manage their own forums?

I am currently not writing on this product. However when I will write for this product again, I will try to take care that threads are not shown from forums, where users are not allowed to see threads.

Personal Forums only show existing forums the users is mostly interested in (wrote posts within these forums or subscribed them, or he is moderating them). You can not create forums.

How to worked this....?

Duncan Idaha 11-14-2009 10:17 PM

I have installed this mod. However, it shows only in the VBulletin default style, even when i use the style we use on our forums. How can i make it show in with the same colors as our forum style?

ThorstenA 11-14-2009 10:19 PM

The style unfortunately comes from YUI, and I do not know how to change automatically the colors from YUI (Yahoo) with the vbulletin colors.

This project was closed down from me, now I am concentrating on changing the way the forums are sorted on FORUMHOME which reduces redundancy (showing forums both in the forumlist and on another place on FORUMHOME).

I really wish this mod was continuing development. It's exactly what I need for my forum :/
