I love your Evid Blue style and would like to use it.

I have no computer experience and I am worried about installing it correctly on my forum.

One of the other developers offered to install and customise the style for $50. Would you consider doing this as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have downloaded your style to my forum images file on filezilla. This all seemed successful???

I then went to my admin > styles & templates> download & upload styles.

I tried to import the file from my server by typing under "import the XML file from your server"

Then I click Import

I get a message saying
"You did not specify a file to upload, so vBulletin will attempt to import the file

I click OK
and get this message

"No file uploaded and no local file found."

I also tried to import from my computer but I had to compress the file to be able to click on choose
but got this message

"XML Error: Empty document at Line 1"

Any suggestions?

I had some success I imported the xml file from my computer but now I get a message saying
"this file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.

Your version: 3.8.4
File version: 3.8.3"

Is there a way to override this?

Found the ignore version button.

Installed style but no images.

I transferred via filezilla the evid blue style into my forums images folder (in a new folder called styles).

Have I missed something???

I too seem to be having some problems with this. After uploading the XML file and getting the new skin put up, pretty much all of the images are no where to be seen though when i check the stylevars, they all seem to be there. Part of the background doesn't even seem to be showing up. Picture below to reference.

These are amazing templates and it would be great if someone could point me in the right direction on how to get them working correctly.

Your not going to get support for this product. That is one of the MAJOR flaws of vbulletin.org. People create nice things, but then after a couple months they just abandon them. For some reason vBulletin.org still allows these people to "claim" the stuff is supported. Yet review the previous posts, the designer has not responded to a post here for months.

Review every product on this website, and nearly 100% of the time. You will see the same thing. Its the risk of taking the free stuff, its nice, but after a couple months of it being released your on your own.

The links are located in the header template.



What I would love to know is how to add another dropdown menu. Would be nice to have a UserCP dropdown with links. Anyone care to help me out? :)

Sorry I can't help I don't even know what that arcade program is. I'm not very good with vB hacks and skins. That's why I normally take the free ones.

And the sad part is that the developer has been online recently, and you know they get email notifications about their products when someone posts a reply. They just decide they don't care anymore and don't bother responding. It's sad when they just ignore your posts/questions. YET! they don't even have the respect to turn off the "supported" link when they start ignoring the emails.

That's pretty frustrating... Sooo, I'm going to have to find another skin that actually has some support.

You dont need skin support, you need ibpro arcade support. :)
The links (menu) along the top are in the "Header" template. (Just replace faq with arcade link)

Likewise, I would LOVE a red version of this. If I were better at photoshop I'd edit the images myself but while I could do that, I'm not sure about the cancel and save buttons when editing (and similar), done by code i believe and not an image i can change?

Great theme - but a couple questions...

1) How can I set the theme so that the main area is fixed instead of variable? (i.e., the actual forum is exactly 650 pixels wide, instead of shrinking/expanding when the window is resized?)

2) How can I make it so that the login box on the upper right is formatted to fit in the center area somewhere? I need to use that entire top space to put a full size banner.

Okay, there is some text in the top logo - its default and states 'header' and '500x120px' - the logo I imagine. Is there any way I can remove this? If so, how do I go about it, and what text do I remove exactly? I don't have my own banner at present, and would just like the blue background with the swirly patterns, if possible? Or if possible, could I just replace the 'header' and '500x120px' text with 'Vanity Edge' - the name of my forum?

Yes, I have that same version (3.8.4). When you go to upload the style, there is an option:

Ignore Style Version Use style file even if it was created by a different version of vBulletin?

Click 'yes' for this, and it should upload fine. I clicked yes, and I'm having no problems with the style! :)
