I have a question, no matter how I change the code in template bbcode_quote, it doesn't show the changes, I have saved it in the style I am using as well as the default style...

I even tried empty cache / cookies whatsoever on two different browsers, still see no changes (I checked the source code and couldn't see the changes)..

Checked in the plug-in / product as well, dont see anything related....

So... Does anyone here happen to know how to fix this?

I am certain I have modified the quote template in the right style... It doesn't show, then I modified the templates in ALL styles, it still doesn't work ....

Any ideas?

In case you happen to like the differently sized quote boxes (like I do), you can just change the last css item to this:

    border-left: solid 1px #CCC;

    border-right: solid 1px #CCC;

    padding: 4px;

    min-width: 300px;

}

I just added min-width so that my longest username can be accommodated without falling under the quote image. Then again, this won't be so clean a solution if users resize their browser text, but whatever.

Hmm having problems

When someone clicks the little viewpost.gif to take them to the original quoted post it opens a new tab and opens viewpost.gif in a different tab then loads the original post in the other tab. any idea why this may be happening? here is the code below:

Just noticed one 'small' problem
In mozilla when guest is looking first post which is quoted
and if my settings for google adds are that one add is there in first post....add is covering quoted text

With IE this is not the case

any suggestions

Just change variables found in html and php bbcode templates into the code variables in the code above for html and php.

In what way? is it the colours? I guess it probably wouldn't look so good on a black background.. have you messed around with the colours?

look in the template BB code quote-

Installed with a few minor edits...
Any fix for nested quotes when the background color of the quote box isn't the same as the page/post? The outside corners of the inside quote are white, in my case, they match the post background but not the quote background. If I make the corners transparent then the boxes look square again because it's the table color behind the image not the page.

Also what about when the quote tag is used in signatures and stuff- for me they are still showing up in the old/original vB style- is there another location to edit the template for sigs maybe?

The template puts a table around your quote, the CSS removes this!

Make sure you ADD it to your additional CSS. Simple copy and paste should suffice.

This must have been a cache issue, it cleared up on its own in a few hours.

Yup, Try reading the title of this mod you are using.

This is 3.8 Mod. You my friend are obviously using vb 4.0

Your additional.css template is now stored in your styles & templates manager.

But the template quote change wont work as it uses different vb calls. Sorry

there are two psd need to create gifs,
