Biker_GA 05-29-2009 04:34 PM

True story.... One of the guys I was stationed with in the UK had ordered a brand new Beemer and had it delivered to the base. He loved that car more than his family and of course, we all ribbed him about it to no end. One week after he took possession of the vehicle, a bicycle ran into the back of him. Put a scratch on his bumper, which he absolutely flipped over. A month later, as the base was preparing for its annual open house, a fork lift ran into it.

We just howled. That Christmas, I drew this guy's name for the gift exchange. So off I went in search of the perfect gift. Didn't take me long, either. :D

At the Christmas dinner, we all started exchanging gifts. Guy I drew starts to open mine and finds an ornately decorated box which says BMW Repair Kit. What he didn't see at the time was the asterisk on BMW and in very small print at the bottom (Broken Motor Wheels Corporation). He opens the box to find a can of Bondo and black spray paint! :D

Biker_GA 05-30-2009 02:02 PM

So, do you base that statement on fact or typical rhetoric from those that rarely travel outside their county?

Ziki 05-30-2009 03:44 PM

I hope you don't mind, but I couldn't resist. Here's a little American Muscle.

davidw 06-01-2009 04:27 PM

Nice muscle you got there. That was the other choice I was pondering - the stang. I've missed mine since I sold the one I had a few years back (due to $350/month insurance premiums).

Biker_GA 06-01-2009 04:32 PM

Had an '05 until an unlicensed, uninsured illegal t-boned me and totaled the car. Not sure what I miss more, the car or the missed opportunity to shoot the cretin. :D

http://www.gtocoupe.com/wp-content/u...2008/09/13.jpg

Sub is a MTX Thunder ( link to Images below as they are huge lol )
http://www.gtocoupe.com/wp-content/u.../2008/09/8.jpg

Amps are MTX all three of them, centre is the 4500 and sides are 3500's i think
http://www.gtocoupe.com/wp-content/u.../2008/09/9.jpg

Capacitors
http://www.gtocoupe.com/wp-content/u...2008/09/11.jpg

Monitors are sony
http://www.gtocoupe.com/wp-content/u.../2008/09/7.jpg
The chrome ports behind the monitors are duct intakes for the subs, made from a Supra stainless steel exhaust pipe modified and some blue led's whacked inside.

The entire install is custom, fibreglass, by MTX America, based in Australia. There guys did the whole lot, start to finish including all speakers, doors, fronts rears, mids, tweeters, and underseat led for approx $15k Aud

That didnt include the battery which is a AGM Intimidator, and a separate MCB ( circuit breaker and inline Volt Meter ) Just need now to up the Alternator !!!!
Car goes on charge every time it goes back into the garage.

1 x iPod adapter kenwood (for headunit, to run iPod off).
1x Subwoofer 12″ MTX 2000watt dual 40.
2 x Sony 6 inch monitors (to go in the build in the boot, so when you open the boot, you will see 2 6″ monitors which will play dvds off the main head unit).
2 x Farad Capacitor Blue Read.
1 x AMP 1500watt Mono block.
2 x AMP MTX 4 channel 800watt.
2 x Splits 6 180watt.

1 x Bluetooth handsfree module.
2 x Dist block.
1 x AMP kit sony 4 gauge.
2 x Reversing cameras (Will show on the front screen when reversing)
