This is a nice hack!!! They should add this to the default options.

As a notice you need to type field numbers, not their titles. Say "field6" not "Design"

its working fine but I still have an issue.
If you have a multioption field like
OPTION1
OPTION2 etc.
its displayed in the postbit like this
option1, option2 .....

Is there a way to make a line break before the next option?

Because I am using postbit_legacy I need a construct like this:

It's possible of course, but you have to edit the hack code.

I don't know. I am certainly no expert. It seems to work for many others and everybody seems to like it.

I imported the file. I am supposed to go to settings. I do not see any place for settings.

I assume they would be under vbulletin options but nope. Can anybody help me? Thanks.

You want to see Thread Display Options (showthread) below in the page. I looked for it some time as I forgot where it is.

hi milad, thank you for a great mod...

i have added a profile field for gender that members chose at registration...

what is showing now of course is either Gender: female or male

what would i need to do to be able to have an 'image' for female or male instead of the text?
(would like to have just the image and not the word Gender either)

I did import the product and change the settings to display profile fields,
but it didn't show up for me !
althought postbit & postbit_legacy are not customized.

please help solve it ?

I hope the coder fixes this mod for VB4, it's a pity that VB doesn't have this in the standard installation. most people running forums do have more info than only place/hobby etc...

Ive installed this on a vb4.0.8 PL2 board with a custom style and want to use the custom CSS option.

The name of the class is "post_field" so I added this text in the "Profile Field Custom CSS class" field in the admincp.
In the "postbit custom content" box I entered

<dt>{vb:rawphrase field19}</dt> <dd>{vb:raw field19}</dd>

In the end I expect it to look like this:

<div class="post_field"><dt>{vb:rawphrase field19}</dt> <dd>{vb:raw field19}</dd></div>

but instead it shows up like this:

<div class="smallfont post_field">title_of_field19: text_of_field19</div>

Text and title of the field are correct but in the div the "smallfont" is to much and
I need the <DT> and <DD> to be included to make it showing up like the rest.

How can I do this?

I doubt very seriously you will see this updated to vB 4 unless you are willing to spend some cash for him to do it. I offered Milad to do it but was told I could not release it.

That's a shame as it's a good mod, our loss that your offer was rejected too. In the meantime I must have had a lightbulb moment and managed to change what I needed by template editing. Nothing fancy, but it did the job.

Hello Rob... Where have you been?
You may not be able to release your copy of this addon but, you can show step by step what you edited to get it to work in vb4. Just a thought...

The way I understood it was that I was not to release ANY updates to the public. I think he is planning on charging for the vb 4 update, unless I misunderstood him.

From what I was told time and time again here that any addon can be updated with edits showing what was done to original hack. You can't give members an edited copy of the product but can show step by step instructions how you updated or enhanced the modification.

I know this is over a year old, but I have not been able to find anywhere on how ti get this to work with images.

1 of my profile fields is a single-selection box with multiple choices from it.

I tried using the same code I use for one of my pages where it pulls the field and sets the image for it, and I am wanting to do the same thing for the postbit.

<div class=">$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/$user[field8].png" alt="$user[field8]" /></div>

Is what I have entered in the Postbit Custom Content

I do have the field entered in then custom just below it.

is this correct or is there something else I need to do to get the field to show?
