Hi great style. Thanks for releasing.

I do have one problem that was pointed out to me by an eagle eyed member. On the forum view pages the post and thread bits are the wrong way round :( it read left to right as "Post" "thread" where as it should be the other way round. As a result it displays a forum as having more threads than posts.

Thanks in advance for your help

Regards

Mark

Nice style

Ohiosweetheart 04-14-2009 04:32 AM

@ madotds - I have no clue what you're talking about, lol. I'd need a link to see it.

@ everyone - thanks!

SuperTaz 04-14-2009 05:37 AM

Will this be compatible with 3.8.2?

Hi thanks for getting back to me. If you go to my site with this style here http://www.called2duty.com/forum.php?styleid=2

And have a look just under the Headquarters catagory. Along the top you have.

Forum_______________Last post______Post____Thread
It should be ( I believe )
Forum_______________Last post______Thread____Post

As a result a room shows up as having more threads than posts. Hope that is clearer :)

regards

Mark

omg y'know I have no idea how that happened? Very odd. Anyway I fixed it. Please download the zip file again and re-import the xml file.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. :up:

Just noticed a nasty thing, furthermore it's a nice template

When you integrate the forums into vBA and only use a right colum with contents, then the Collapse image isn't positioned in the category anymore.

Ohiosweetheart 06-22-2009 12:23 PM

That's something that I've not been able to find a solution for.

Sorry

EuT 06-22-2009 02:37 PM

The solution (roughly)
Code:

<td width="10" height="42px" align="left" valign="top" style="background-image:url($stylevar[imgdir_misc]/mt-left.png)"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/spacer.gif" width="191" height="1"alt=" " border="0" /></td>
    <td width="100%" height="42px" style="background-image:url($stylevar[imgdir_misc]/mt-middle.png)" valign="middle">
                        <div align="left">
                        <a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]"><b>$forum[title]</b></a></div>
                        <if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></div></if>
        </td>
    <td width="483px" height="42px" align="right" valign="middle" style="background-image:url($stylevar[imgdir_misc]/mt-right.png)">
            <a style="position:relative;" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumbit_$forumid')"><img id="collapseimg_forumbit_$forumid" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_forumid}.gif" alt="" hspace="25" border="0" align="right" /></a>
        <img src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/spacer.gif" width="413" height="1" alt=" " align="bottom" border="0" />
    </td>

It works in this way on my forums either in FF as in IE, only I forgot the exact width to space.
Example: http://www.ravenforums.com

btw, I hope you dont that I'm slightly modifying the template to my taste and towards the purpose of the site. Your credits will remain if you've placed them, else pm me the details.

s-p0k 06-24-2009 09:14 PM

is there an update ...it will not install on my 3.8.3

Ohiosweetheart 06-25-2009 01:21 AM

No there's not, but it will install. When you go to import the xml, where it says ignore style version, select yes.

It works just fine on 3.8.3.

sunnylikbeckham 07-17-2009 11:12 AM

nice theme
installed

Ohiosweetheart 07-17-2009 11:31 AM

Thanks I'm glad you like it. :)

BostWick-x 07-17-2009 10:17 PM

I'm on 3.8.3 and none of the images show up. The CSS seems to work fine, though.

Here's a screenshot:

I'm sort of new to installing styles, so sorry if I did something stupid. :P

Thanks, and the template looks great which is why I'm trying to figure this out.

You must upload earth into images/styles/ on your server.

Very good work, Peggy. This style is very nice ;)

Whoa, thanks for the quick reply.

That fixed it. :) I had them uploaded to the /images folder, because that's where a previous style I had installed required them to be. I just assumed it was the same.

Thank you.

go into the header template and remove the code for that button, should be at the bottom of it.

DFWRAMS 09-11-2009 11:31 PM

this style is absolutley amazing,

but alas im a noob and cant seem to get the paths to the buttons and all that to work, i have it exactly as you showed, images/styles/earth/buttons and i created the styles folder, uploaded the earth file, but the buttons and gradients dont show. the xml does show so im assuming that its not compatibility problem as im running 3.8.4

any help is greatly appreciated

and again this style is saweet

Ohiosweetheart 09-12-2009 01:14 AM

Look inside that earth folder and see if there's another earth folder inside? If there is, that's the one you needed to upload.

My mistake.

DFWRAMS 09-12-2009 01:49 AM

GOT IT, idk what the problem was, i just manually retyped in the paths to the buttons and it worked. thanks a bunch, looks great.

Ohiosweetheart 09-12-2009 10:58 AM

hmmm that's odd. But I'm glad you got it working.
Enjoy!

G_Gekko 10-11-2009 04:37 AM

Is there anyway to add a left or right sidebar to this layout?

Ohiosweetheart 10-13-2009 03:15 PM

There are a couple of side column mods here on vb.org. Just follow the instructions.

G_Gekko 10-13-2009 08:16 PM

Thanks. Just wanted to check if they would work with this skin. Used a few in the past that breaks if you use those mods :-)
