does on 3.8.1 for me

works but gives database error when you add classifieds, but it does add it..

Could you please be more specific? What is missing? Template procedure?

when you add a add the script gives a DB error for this:

there is no classifieds_items in the database

I'll check the code. There is no classifieds_items. Must be classifieds_ads

I tried to get the german one on the website, but didn't work.
I think it's only for customers but I thought it's for free now?

I have an issue with the usergroups permissions. No matter I've given the right permissións in the user group it still won't allowed Non Registered users to place adds or view them.

any idea? I'm using VB 3.7.4 PL1

No, no!! vbClassifieds is a totally different product in database structure and functions. Better or worst, I'm not the one who will say it. But for sure is not the same.

A new version (1.1.0) is available for download. On this version I've added multiple photo upload. To upgrade, upload classifieds.php and re-import product-classifieds.xml

As quest I was not able to see the user menu and so the link to add an ad. Of couse, as I know the links, I tried the direct link and it's true that I seen the form to add an ad, so something is going wrong with your setup, as I tried to my test installation and even with direct link I can't add an ad.

I've tryed almost everything, disable other hacks, revert permissions in user groups, re-installed the product and nothing seems to be effective.

If anybody has any idea will be welcome. It's a nice hack and it would be good for my community.

Try something ... Setup REGISTER users to not be able to add an ad. Then try with direct link:

Checked. If I set registered user to not be able to place adds it shows the message "You don't have permission to see this page ...... " when a registered user try to place an add.

This is driving me insane,, arrrrggg.. I want this hack so much.

I'm having a problem.

Using 3.81 w/ vBSEO 3.2.0

Uploaded, cmod'ed the correct directories, installed the plugin, added the vbseo-rules.txt to my Custom Rewrite Rules in VBSEO, checked the Classifieds settings in the ADMINCP, and enabled in usergroups, and added categories.

When I add a product and click SAVE I get a blank page at http://www.extremebusa.com/extreme/classifieds/

I did notice that the index.php file is empty... not sure if that's a problem.

With this part of code every visitor to the page for adding/editing an Ad without an active userid (and so the Guest), will gets a permission error message.

Nop that did not solve the problem. Now it takes me to the login page.

For some strange odd reason I installed this hack and cant find where under the usergroup permissions you can allow permission to see the classifieds?? Am I missing something?

Okay I fixed that issue. Seems I did not upload a couple of directory files.
I have a new issue now when clicking the "Add Classified" link. I get an error message.....

As you supposed, the error comes as there are no categories (categoryid=). You can add categories/subcategories from the admincp.

For some reason photos are not uploading or showing.

I have CHMOD 777 photos, thumbs, tmp. I have in usergroups allowed user to post 5 photos.

Also when I select number of photos to say '3' it only allows one photo to be up loaded.

Some questions.

[s]1. Why do all new ads automatically show up as sponsored and premium ads? What is the sponsored and premium ad status for, if all ads are tagged this way unless I manually remove the status one by one?[/s] edit: I found answer to this in 3.8 mod thread.

[s]2. Some members (sellers) do not use Paypal.
If no email address is entered for Paypal payments, buyer is still directed to fill out the form, and then is taken to pay-pal site just to see error about no valid email address. I believe this would irritate the potential buyer.
Is there a way to automatically remove (or hide), the "buy it link and image" from displaying, when seller does not accept pay-pal? Maybe redirect them to PM the seller for info.[/s] edit: I found solution to this.

[s]3. Is there anyway for seller to "close an ad", or "mark it Sold" after they have sold the items listed in an ad? Some way so that people could not be send payments after the seller has sold out.[/s] edit: after reading in 3.8 mods thread, I don't believe this is possible dur to the fact that you have sellers using paypal and some not using it. Those not using paypal would not have any basis to mark sold off of.


I've clicked "installed" but only have it on my test site right now until I understand it better. So far :up: I like it.
