Ok the feeds are working, but the image path for some reason is wrong. How can I change that? It is like this: forum/forum/images/misc/rss_gif I only have one forum folder.
|
Fixed. I went in and just removed the word forum from the path in the options.
THANKS!! |
My forums slow waaaaaay down when this is active. Is there something I can do? I am on a dedicated server as it is.
Thanks. |

where to edit the plugin so the feed url opens in new window ?

1. Added option to open the RSS Feed in a new window (this will be the default)
2. Added option for the link to be on the far left (useful for right-to-left sites) 3. Added a debug section and option 4. Minor commenting and formatting adjustments |
thx for the update.

Hi, how can i hide my private forum, for example if i have any forums for moderators and admins, and if i change forum ids on line forumids=119,120,121,122 then i can get headers from private forums

That's the way vBulletin works, but I added an option to help stop that happening. Enter the forums for which you do NOT want to get RSS Feeds, choose "Unselected" (all but those get feeds) and then use the "Block excluded forums (Stop URL access)" options. If that doesn't work, PM me a url so I can take a look. |
Odd problem when I upgraded to 3.8.4 - the rss icons disappeared and [??] s appeared on the forum index page, when I disable this rss plugin they disappear, and this is even after upgraded to version 4. Any idea what the issue is?

Love this mod but in all of my testing it does not create the link properly to the article. Even though in the admincp I have the option to send it to the 'Latest - Last' post in the thread this does not happen.
Could we have this fixed sir? |

Hi, I've installed this but cannot get the feed image to show. I'm using a modified theme for my site so I was just wondering what code I need to add to which template(s) to make it show up. :)

5 stars, marked as installed.
Excellent mod, keep up the good work! |

Great This plugin

Hi, thanks for the reply and sorry for not making myself clear. I have the image uploaded and it's showing up on the browser when I surf to it, but the template doesn't seem to be showing it...as I said, it's heavily modified, so knowing what to add where would be a great help. :)

Tried it with VB4 and it did not work. Not surprised since VB4 is a major change. Hopefully this gets migrated to vb4 as it's such a good mod!
I'll chip in some Paypal money in hopes of getting a vb4 mod ;-) |

very very nice mod
but i have few questions 1 - the title for rss for forum with subforums does not show forum titles, only ids like this "Forum www.neformat.com.ua - 64,130,131" 2 - when i got option "Position of the RSS Icon - far to the right of the title" in main page it shows ok, but in forums with subforums it shows like this: Attachment 114523 Maybe you can fix it? thank you |
Hi Sorky
This mod isn't working with my 3.8.4 but after some testing found that it will work on a default vb style so I guess my template changes are causing a problem. Any idea on which templates this effects? I just want to have one forum to have a feed but at the moment it is showing all forums. I created a default vb style and it just showed that one forum - that is why I think it is a template edit. The other possibility is that I have excluded that one forum from any "New Posts" searches as it is a news forum which the users do not want to have come up when they click "New Posts" |
Watching thread, please announce when 4.x version is released.

Making a RSS feed is built into vBulletin 4.x, so it's unnecessary to have a 4.x version of this add-on.

I have this installed on a 3.7.1 site. The site has two parent forums (which are actually set to not act as forums). Each parent forum has about 7-8 sub forums beneath it.
The RSS feed for each sub forum is up to date, but the RSS feed for the parent forums are not up to date. Any Idea what could be causing this? Thanks, kevin |
Life saver. I wish I had seen this mod years ago
It could help reduce some of the google panda backlash Top man for making this mod |
