Some time ago I had the 3.7 Version installed of that Mod but what really made me crazy is that people HAD TO fill in the Website & City. What if they don´t have a Website or don´t want to fill in a City (which isn´t really necessary I would say!)? Then they cant continue in the Guestbook.

Make those things choosable, if someone wants to add that into the Guestbook or not. Or even give the admin the possibility to make some own fields to add, with different content. But most of all, make chooseable if these fields are necessary to fill or just voluntarely.

Btw, does this Version here also works with 3.7.6 or do I have to take the other one again for that ?

i didnt notice it before, but from vbadvanced cmps homepage software, the guestbook does appear in the navbar but when it is clicked a 404 error is disploayed. it is accessible from the forums but not from the vbadvanced cmps. please tell me what should i do?

Firstly, thanx & great mod. :up:

My question is this...
When I as admit edit a entry, why am I not able to edit all fields?
If I want to change the users name for example, surely I as admin should be allowed to do this? Or even the date for that matter.

Am I missing something here?:confused:

I have the same problem at my vbulletin board 3.8.3 with the installed guestbook 2.2. Allowed Usergroups to Edit Messages In the Guestbook, and Allowed Usergroups to Delete Messages In the Guestbook is set to Administrator only but everyone can edit and delete posts. There must be a problem with the permissions, is there a fix to solve this problem available?

Aww thank you, I gave the mods permissions and then it stopped guests from being able to do it :)

It works great in 3.8.7

but i have got a suggestion hopefuly that you like it

it's about vbadvanced modul can you please attache a module for vbadvanced that brings the latest guests messages from the guestbook ?

please just give me the clue if its easy because my php acknowledge its not enough to customize vbadvanced modules

please do that for us

Uninstall the product from your admin control panel.
Open the product using your favorite editor and find all instances of:

TYPE=MyISAM

and change to:

ENGINE=MyISAM

You will be good to go.
