I followed the instructions in the OP about uploading the .xml file and clicking on install.

How do I find the images folder?

Garnet2727 02-01-2009 12:25 AM

Never mind. I found the images folder on my server. Now I need to try to figure out how to get the crastel folder in there.

Garnet2727 02-01-2009 12:40 AM

I have a feeling that this is a really simple thing to do but I can't figure it out.

Is there there a smiley in here for stupid n00b?

Garnet2727 02-01-2009 01:54 AM

Got 'er done with the help of a good friend. :D

momo2 02-01-2009 01:08 PM

Garnet /public_html/vip/images/crastel vip is my forum link, so from ftp that's how u do it.

Garnet2727 02-01-2009 02:41 PM

Now that I've got this installed properly, my members LOVE it.

Thank you for sharing it.

How can I change them to vertical?

I want like this:

apokphp 02-08-2009 05:32 AM

Anyone having trouble editing posts? In Firefox, it displays the page in html code vs actually editing the post itself. Occasionally, sometimes it will edit, but it is highly inconsistent.

apokphp 02-10-2009 02:38 AM

Confirmed. There's definitely something uniquely buggy about this style. It is the only style out of about a dozen, that has script errors that will...

1) In Firefox: 50% of the time result in a rendered html page.
and
2) In IE, give script errors (in lower left corner).

I've reverted every single template, no change. Still buggy.

Even styles from vb 3.7 don't do this on my board. This is the only one.

midwestce 02-10-2009 05:31 AM

What would/could I do to allow the forum to be "wider" like the default vBulletin style? This one is quite narrow on both 19" and 24" monitors running native resolutions. I am sure there's a "fit to screen" type of option somewhere that I'm not sure about.

Thank you in advance.

Nick

Edit - nevermind, I figured it out. I'll reserve this spot for any other questions I may have. :)

Hi,

Has anyone been able to replicate the bug apokphp is finding? Anyone seeing it in 3.8x?

john_80 02-24-2009 01:00 PM

Is this load for u quite long time ?

adamskiii 03-07-2009 02:38 PM

thank you very much. very nice theme :D

One question, I am using Adbrite, not goolge ads and when I replace the google code with my Adsense code nothing happens, there is just a gray box. Any help?

And when I open a thread there is more google ads from the default template and when you click on search. How do I get rid of these and add my own?

thanks

markbolyard 03-07-2009 02:57 PM

You should be able to replace the adsense code with your Adbrite code without a problem.

To Remove Advertisements, you simply go to the ADMINCP - > Style Manager - > Edit this styles templates - > Add Location Templates. Any templates that are red in this section contain ad code. This is where you will place your Adbrite code.

markbolyard 03-07-2009 02:59 PM

dxflw - You are using the standard postbit. You need to go to vBulletin Options, Style and Language settings, and select Postbit Legacy / Vertical Postbit.

markbolyard 03-07-2009 03:57 PM

Please read the very first post of this thread. It has those instructions posted.

adamskiii 03-07-2009 05:02 PM

I can not seem to find it in:

ad_header_end
ad_header_logo
ad_navbar_below
ad_showthread_firstpost
ad_showthread_firstpost_start

Could you please help me?

Thanks

markbolyard 03-07-2009 05:15 PM

You can remove it by finding the below code in the NavBar template and deleting it.

adamskiii 03-07-2009 07:01 PM

thank you. Love this theme :D

Want to know how to make this skin full width!

munichsoccer 03-13-2009 09:39 PM

I 've got a little problem with this style and my vbCMS...

If you open the forum under http://www.finanz-wissen.com/forum/index.php everything looks fine. (At the moment the forum is closed, beause we are just creating the side)
But if you open the vbCMS under http://www.finanz-wissen.com the page looks like the attached picture. So the right side is completely wrong. I 've put the full url in front of the image path but it's still not working. Has anyone a suggestion?

Smiry Kin's 03-14-2009 02:27 PM

nice clean style :)

Dr.Viggy 03-14-2009 05:13 PM

great style and looks great on my site. thanks for the effort.

MrMichigan 03-22-2009 01:10 PM

I see that this skin version is for the VB 3.8.0. I have the VB updated to the 3.8.1 version. Will there be an updated version of this skin for the VB 3.8.1 version or will this 3.8.0 version skin work just fine with the VB 3.8.1 version?

Thank you,
MrMichigan

trendyworks 03-22-2009 01:57 PM

Very Nice, i am installing it

SMXKidd 03-22-2009 04:02 PM

Don't bother installing this on 3.8.1. I love the style, very well designed, but it's just not working on 3.8.1.

Once I got it up, basically all of the top banner images aren't working. I uploaded them to the images folder as instructed. It's just not displaying. If anybody wants an idea of what I'm talking about here's a screenshot.

Crank! 03-22-2009 06:36 PM

I love this style. Can you make it work on 3.8.1?

It does not want to install and when I did install it anyway it would not display correctly.

Thanks

You installed it correctly, but you didn't put your images in the right directory. Your on FireFox. When FireFox can't find an image, it puts the mouseover text in it's place. Styles expect their corresponding images to be in the right location. When you see that happen after installing a style, it means the images aren't where they're supposed to be.

Same thing happened to me but i can't figure where to place the images. Oh well!!!!
I'll keep messing with it.

KevinL 03-23-2009 03:16 PM

2. Upload the image folder "crastel" to your forums images directory (ex: images/crastel).

So in your forums directory like-- forums/images => then upload the crastel (images folder)

Crank! 03-23-2009 06:12 PM

Ok. Finally got it to work. DUH I had it in front of me the whole time and could not figure it. Anyway now I have another problem and that is that when i replaced the code with mine for the adsense, then the ads disapeared and now I only have the bottom ad showing.

What can that be.

I uninstalled the template and re-installed and did the code replacement again and still the same result.

Agdez.com 03-23-2009 06:49 PM

thank you, installed

Crank! 03-23-2009 07:08 PM

Got it man. Thanks a lot. I can launch my site sooner than I expected thanks to this great theme.

Any possible way to make it so the avatars are automatically to the left of the mini profile thing rather than centered?
