Is it possible that you can rewrite this mod to basically do the same function, but based on usergroup (secondary usergroup/membership) instead of by post count ?

example: one forum i would like to one 1 usergroup only able to view or post pictures/attachments in that forum but would like another usergroup to NOT view pictures/attachments in that same forum

this can not be resolved easily with default vb permissions easily

maybe need more details

usergroup 1 along with a secondary membership a needs access to view/post to ALL forums except 1or2 (for those) we would like them to only post text (no viewing IMG or uploading pictures/attachments)

I am upgrading a 3.6.8 version of VB to 3.8.2--The forum has the 3.6.8 version of this mod-In order to upgrade is it just a product overwrite? Will this even work?

I will be doing this upgrade shortly so an answer would be great...

This was the very first mod I have ever personally installed. so please excuse me if this is incredibly stupid.

I did install the mod, and went into Vbulletin options to set the preferences.
At each section, there are two options: Individual Forums or All Existing Forums.
so far so good.

When I choose "All Existing Forums", the link takes me to a page that shows all the smilies that are installed for the forums. That's it.

How/where do I merely set new users unable to post links or email addresses until they've posted x # of messages?

You must be SuperAdmin to be able to access this page.

SuperAdmins are set in config.php in 'includes' folder on your server.

I was having an issue with this mod in conjunction with one of the backup mods on this database or a vb ad management mod. I will reinstall those mods and see if I can pinpoint the issue I was experiencing.

I am editing as superadmin but i still get the smilies page when setting permissions for all forums.

Weird, I have had this installed for a while now, I have recently reset all permissions so members cannot post anywhere until they have 1 post count other than an intro forum. The minimum post count of 1 is being ignored, new members are making their first posts in areas other than the intro forum. I know you're bust Cybernetec but would you have any idea what I might have got wrong to cause the post count requirement to be ignored.

Currently this mod no-longer works on my site, the minimum post count requirement is being completely ignored, people are posting all over the site even though they don't have the required post count to do so. I really need your help please.

Scratch all of that, I have found the problem, it's the mod system modification, I haven't found a simple solution to the problem so have engaged a work-around.
