Yes, thats a bug in Flashchat, you need to update a file, see this thread on their forum (Post #3)

I have no issues installing 4.7 version, but it will NOT integrate with 3.8

What can i do to fix the missing security token whenever i click on anyones profile in the chat? but when i hit GO again on the browser itll take me to whoevers profile i want to see but I would think you had a patch or something to edit to fix the security token issue

its on mytalkcarolina, now i just figured out how to get the other user groups working properly but the security token is whats annoying me

I'm pretty sure my question belongs at Tufat and not here but any idea where I would look in the flashchat code to fix the security token error when clicking on the profile link in flashchat after clicking on a persons name?

There is a thread here about it that references a Paul M fix which is why I made my way back over here.

A point in the right direction to the "fix file" would be appreciated, thanks!

Me too. same problem. followed all the steps carefully and 5.0.10 still display a blank screen after login.

I don't think it's Paul's hack causing the blank page. It's the new (and very buggy) ACP of FlashChat.

The blank page appears as soon as you have edited the 'General settings' from the configuration page and saved it.

This worked for me: Upload chat/install.php and the folder chat/install_files to your server, then run install.php again. >> Everything is working fine including Paul's hacks.

At least until you edit FlashChat 'general settings' again....

Hmmm, what would you all recommend to run with 3.8.0? 5.0.10 or the older more stable version. Once you go through the pain of getting this thing to run, is it worth it?

I've installed this and been using it a week and its great! but! I made a new usergroup and copied it off another group that has no problems using the chatroom and they can't enter... anyone know what I can do?

They have user level access and it doens't work so I tried mod level and it still doesn't work....

Yeah, the only usergroups that work for me are Registered Users and Administrators.

Also, last night FC started substituting numbers with words out of the badwords list.

One of our users, whose username is MP 5 Monster, was showing as MP Dildo Monster!! LOL! One of the other users name is "203". You don't want to know what his name was showing as.... I had to delete all of the words out of the filter to get it to stop.

FC5 certainly has some problems, and it doesn't appear it is being supported.

certainly does seem to be some issues with Flashchat 5...
in private message windows, the first letter of every message has to be typed twice.
the mute check boxes work backwards.

on the other hand, it does seem to run faster and smoother than the previous versions.

All things we probably shouldn't be bringing up here :)

So what is the latest version of FlashChat that is stable and will work with this hack without getting the token errors when one tries to look at a user profile?

Now it says I'm not an admin and I am CLEARLY an admin and it wont let me uninstall it... anyone know how I can uninstall?

I have the missing token error when someone clicks on a user profile as well. The only CMS file I can get to work is the one that comes with FC. The others all cause FC to ask for a user login.

It is a pretty simple install, I am not sure how one could incorrectly install it.

Having a issue with the chat. Im not sure if its on the side of TuFat or when it was integrated it. Its been a PIA for me for some reason.

Ok everything went, well OK its installed. I skipped the bot step. But now when I click on flashchat in the drop down a page opens and a log in appears. It does not auto log in. I have tried entering my username and password. Still nothing. Any ideas??

anyone else having problems with muting sounds or adding backgrounds??? None of the users are able to mute sounds. When they switch backgrounds, the main chat window never changes. Very annoying. I've reinstalled about 10 times and always get the same problem.
