Extreme24 04-09-2009 01:02 PM

No modifications. Both have clean installs.

Ziki 04-10-2009 06:15 AM

Was the style changed for phpfox?

Extreme24 04-10-2009 09:10 AM

Nope. Default style for both.

Ziki 04-11-2009 08:02 AM

And versions?

Extreme24 04-11-2009 01:45 PM

Highest versions on both.

Also don't worry about this anymore... I've uninstalled both vB and phpFox. I'm still unsure on what type of site I'm going to run...

Ziki 04-12-2009 06:02 AM

Do you mean phpfox 2.0 or 1.6 latest release?

PeterXP 04-13-2009 05:09 AM

Nice mod, but got a little problem:

just have an runnig vb, fox is an new install. When i tried to integrate the user of my vb into fox, your script says: ok

but the old Admin-User ( from the install of phpfox) is away and all Admins and Mods could not sign on to php-fox.

They all get following message after login:

Sorry! This area is for official members only. Please login or signup.

Even there is no more an admin-account of php-fox, i dont´t know how to solve?

Ziki 04-13-2009 07:19 AM

Go to your phpmyadmin -> phpfox_user -> edit the user you want to be admin and set type to 0.

PeterXP 04-13-2009 07:47 AM

thanks, but this doesn´t work.

Changed Type to 0---> typed in Name and password in in phpfox-Login--Mask ----> the bulletin Software tells me: Thanks for login in, Administrator ---> then i will redirected to the fox-site which tells me :Sorry! This area is for official members only. Please login or signup..

Maybe you have another Idea?

Ziki 04-13-2009 08:04 AM

Please check if the databases are synced correctly,if there are the same users in vB and fox as well.

yep...done in the last hour.... all Users are completely the same.. 2480 Users in VB-table, 2480 Users in phpfox Table, even aditional informations like date of Birth, etc. are the same.

i think there is another problem, too.

I logged out of the vb, cleanded Local Cache, Cookies, etc. of my browser and go to the php-Fox installation. Without logging in ( in forum, because in phpfox i didn?t came in), i see in the Archive the Administrative Forums of my vb and even can read them via the archive of php-fox.
When i click onto " view full version:link", then it will be denied to me, but the Archive has the whole Content of the administrative Forums of the vb and is readable for everybody who clicks onto archive. ( just even testet with a good, trustfull friend via ICQ).

Maybe there is more than one problem that i have?

Sorry, my head goes round, because i tried the last 10 Hours the integration in the new php-fox. the announced offlne-Time for Board and Domain was 5 Hours und at this time my users mailed more about 200 most angry Mails.....

Is there a possibility to solve this Problem without uninstall phpfox and vb-integration and searching for another cms?

Ziki 04-13-2009 11:49 AM

And what phpfox version is it?

PeterXP 04-13-2009 12:14 PM

phpfox version 1.6.21

vBulletin 3.8.2

Ziki 04-13-2009 04:03 PM

Hm,try posting the exact problem into the original thread and I will take a look at it.

PeterXP 04-13-2009 05:46 PM

Thanks, but i don´t think, that there is a problem with phpfox, because in Stand-Alone-Operation ( without vb-integration) it works fine. To keep my Community runnig, i uninstalled php-fox and even the vb-integration.

Even therefore phpfox offers a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee and I just bought another Script called Handshakes. I hope, the integration of my vb-users will be better than this script here.

Sure, it is not a PHPfox-Problem, but i bought that phpfox-script to integrate a vbulletin into an cms to get something like an common portal with Chat, Blog, Flirtline, etc. Even this script here ( the integration-script) seems to be the only way to integrate a vb to this cms and it not works for me, i decided to try out other scripts with the needed functionality.

Many thanks for the trying of support this integration-script,

sincerly,

PeterXP

ps: could anyone delete the mark " downloaded" for this mod?

PeterXP 04-13-2009 08:01 PM

hmmm.... just one question: Has anyone used this mod and it´s running? Maybe he or she can post a link to look how it works in a produktive area?

Robert_NL 04-17-2009 09:16 PM

After installing this plugin my PHPFOX login system seems to be broken. I am not able to login anymore. I keep getting the vbbulletin login error page and it also doesnt login to vbbulletin.

My vbbulletin version is 3.8.0 Alpha 2.

Has anyone experienced this also? What could be the problem?

Davey-UK 07-24-2009 06:58 PM

Where has my admin area login link gone in phpfox, now i have done this integration? What is the direct link to the phpfox admin panel?

tercede 08-06-2009 02:56 AM

Is this mod still working?

Ziki 08-06-2009 04:33 AM

Yes!

Hello,
I just installed vbulletin to my site and everything seems to be working great. The problem I have is when I log in with phpfox . It will actually log in, but go to this page:
http://www.mysite.com/forums/login.php?do=login

This is a blank page, but when I hit the back button I go to my normal logged in member page within phpfox. It seems that several other people have had this problem.
How do you fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Actually the same thing happens when I login through phpFox.

I also get this same error.

I just read the entire thread, and it seems like the problem is that the font color is the same as the background.

Ziki,

I installed facebook connect which actually doesn't interfere with vbulletin or facebook. But it doesn't create the facebook users for phpfox. Only in vbulletin.

I need help fixing this. I noticed you asked that we come to you for any plugins that use or affect the login process.

It's a great plugin. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=198499
How do I fix this so that the users are created in phpfox as well as vbulletin? Especially because the vbulletin/phpfox integration plugin uses vbulletin to authenticate.

I keep trying this and it tells me:

Step 2) Connect to the database

Attempting to attach to database

Connection succeeded! The database already exists.

You have already installed vBulletin; do you wish to upgrade?
Click here if you would like to see options for clearing the existing contents of your database.

I haven't installed VBulletin. Is there any VBulletin tables that have the same name as PHPFOX has?

remyline 03-12-2010 11:19 PM

Have done this before without any problems. This time tho on Godady servers. VBulletin 3.8.5 Phpfox 1.6.21 and ZIkis Plugin 2.5.1

This is the error it shows:

@Mykal...

Are you having any problems with Facebook Connect?

I was using it an had a hard time with it as it was real buggy...

I just switched to YAFB Yet Another Facebook Bridge and wow is it sooooo much better.

You can actually INVITE your facebook friends right from the USER CP!!!

Check it out I am sure you will be glad you did!

EDIT:

By the way if you are running 3.8.x you can still use the 4.0 Version of YAFB as it works on both 4.0 and 3.8.x

Does this mod make sense to add to VB4? I think VB4 accomplishes everything that phpfox does and more. You'll have a lot of redundancy.

That would actually be neat if someone had the time to do this..

Go over what features and abilities that PHPFox has:

VS.

vBulletin 4.2x

See if it does make sense or not for everyone...

Thanks!

I haven't seen the ability to customize profiles like PHP Fox has. They have the ability to change almost every part of the page to a different color of background picture, and for people to pick which modules they want on their profile page, and to be able to move the modules around. If their is a Vb mod for that I'd like to know.

FRANKTHETANK 2 09-15-2010 01:10 AM

I'm seeing this same error and though a link was provided to solve this in this thread, there seems to be no access to the info at the link. Was this problem ever solved?

Dunno if you solved this or not, but I would guess that you are installing with the short URL enabled tru Phpfox. Saw the same issue and resolved it by turning off short url's until I completed that step.
