Wouldnt it be great if somehow when a snowball is thrown you could get an image of a snowball on the members screen - like some of the windows live emotes

I've got this installed at My Merry Christmas and people are going crazy over it. I need to tweak phrases and I like other's I'd like better graphics, etc. But the members are eating it up.

Though I do have a bug report to make....

Members of groups who don't have permission to play this game are reporting getting the "hit by a snowball" PMs. This is because the members who do have permission to play are able to access the tab for this game on non-player profiles, and throwing the snowballs at them... even though there is not permission to do so the other way round.

If a usergroup doesn't have permission to play this game, then they shouldn't get any notifications related to it at all, and it would probably be better if the tab wasn't available on their profile at all either - even to those who do.

Doesn't work for me am using the facebook profiles and when I click throw snowball it just refreshes the profile page :(

Great :) Can I also suggest giving members the option to "opt out" of this altogether if they don't wish to participate in the game in any way? Maybe a config option which will hide the game tab on their profile and turn off all contact with them ie. PMs etc?

No, there is no "global" permission for it. Each User (if he has permission to play) can set this option is the usercp. If he leaves it "OFF" - he won't play and the TAB isn't avaible.

There is a "small" bug for users that haven't permissions to play. I will fix this in a few hours

I think thats still his point, the game is currently being designed for 3.7.x versions only - and not the beta version of VB.

I just wondered if as well as improving an already great mod, you had any intention of expanding it to cover other type of events. Once xmas is out the way i'll turn it off until summer for the water fight - however extras such as an easter egg fight for easter would be great.

Maybe an idea for another mod - Find the easter egg. The mod automatically hides easter eggs in various threads and members have to find them. Once found they click on the egg and it vanishes, however its added to a total in their profile. Could be adapted for treasure and other things!

Members have been complaining about getting too many PMs sent to them, especially when the PM notification option for this game is set to "on" by default :( They get handfuls of PMs even before they get to their own personal switch option. And there is no global option for admin to turn them off either.

I have the game set for specified groups at the moment and would like to release it boardwide to everyone, but won't be doing so until there's an alternative to the PM'ing, otherwise I am just gonna get bombarded with similar complaints.

Will hope its considered for changes, as it really is a great feature/game that most of our members are enjoying.

do u have any idea why i dont get credited everyday in the snowbattle i setup 100 per day i followed the gamerules but nothing happened

also there is no chance for me to see the snowball picture or the grog picture just text any idea how this is possible to fix maybe ?
