does that mean it will be in 1.0.3?

i honestly think most any admin is going to want it that way

I love this mod!

By the way: There should be NO PM/email, if you edit/delete/etc. your OWN Postings or Topics.

Greetings,
Lars

very very true

carefull here modification Graveyard usually means a security problem .... i cannot download it anymore otherwise i would look :D

Keyser S?ze 10-04-2008 09:47 PM

it is in the graveyard due to a security hole but another user, FRDS, is or was fixing it, i may see if he finished as this one seems to have too many limitations and problems

Carly 10-05-2008 02:14 AM

Would love to see this working properly. I'll be keeping my eye out.

1. A deleted post, even with a reason typed, is shows just the text $reason instead of the field input.

2. On a moved thread, the URL doesn't show up in the PM.

That's as far as I got in testing it and those two things are important to me.

If I had a wishlist, it would be that this was an option with a box to tick so a Moderator could choose whether or not the PM was sent (for duplicate posts and a user's own posts, it is unnecessary)

those limitations are there for a reason let's say i add support for the inlinemod (easy there are hooks everywhere) and you or one of your mods say close about 30 threads at one.So all this 30 threads will eitther send a pm or an email.

pm => your host will be yelling at you because you use to much resources
email => your host will flag you as being a spammer and your mailserver(s) might become into trouble with dnsbl (dns blacklists) i'm sure these are two things you do not want ....

princeedward 10-05-2008 09:21 AM

hi...as i said...how can we avoid not to appear the $reason when we stuck/unstuck, moved, merge...etc (those that don't have chance to write any reason)...yes...its workin good with reason on delete and edit...also still using vB 3.6.8 PL2 here

BTW:

is there anyone make a test about using test user...editing his own post? co'z it will send also a pm to his own pm inbox also...or means the auto pm will activate also...when the post owner edit or maybe if they delete or do anything at their own post... :(

thanks once again...

;)

not everybody is dedicated .... in your case your host won't be yelling but still your mailserver(s) ...... but allright let's add support for inlinemod

princeedward 10-05-2008 11:25 AM

as i test it once again with a test user...CONFIRMED!
it keep sending auto pm also when my test user edit or delete his own post....

how is yours guys?

so at the moment i might disable this great mod first to avoid something chaos for my users...

:(

dknelson 10-05-2008 11:56 AM

I like this mod but it's not working for me. PMs are being sent but the reason, URLs, etc. are not included in the PM. I have physically removed a few of my own posts and here is the email that I get. I am removing this mod for now.

I understand that. It was early when I was typing. :) What needs to still be there though is the reason that it was deleted.

foxygti6 10-05-2008 01:50 PM

pnosko31 10-05-2008 02:35 PM

Delphiprogrammi 10-05-2008 05:33 PM

anybody got any news about the other hack in the mod graveyard ? is the hole fixed ?

dknelson 10-05-2008 05:42 PM

Well, my only issue with this mod is the problem with the "reason for deleted" field. Even if I do a soft delete, the reason is not given. Just the message "this action not supported". Anybody else seeing this?

princeedward 10-05-2008 06:15 PM

:o hmmmm....Bro. Delphiprogrammi., i guess you forgot something on the editing option... everything is workin fine...but not the edit thing... :erm:

this does not work through the inlinemod ...

Delphiprogrammi 10-07-2008 08:45 PM

ey folks,

On one of my old site backups i found that other mod which kind of does the same only much better then mine (i have no problem admitting that) since that hack is written by somebody else and it's in the modification graveyard right now i don't know if i can upload this ..... it does work fine on vBulletin 3.7.3 PL 1 much better then mine but as far as i know i would need permission from the original author one reason it's in the graveyard could also be the author is no longer licenced to use vBulletin.I tryed to click the email link but he's not accepting ...

yakusasc 10-08-2008 12:14 PM

Your mod is very useful, but to translate it's awful...

it means you have to perform moderation through the thread tools menu(found in each thread) inlinemod is the system that allows you to moderate multiple threads(or posts for that matter) at once(the checkboxes you see on forumdisplay and showthread etc that is the inlinemod)

foxygti6 10-11-2008 09:18 AM

Thanks :)

Is there a way of modifying it to work without using thread tools?

farzana 10-11-2008 10:07 AM

nice one installed.

I am facing this exact problem, for now I am disabling this mod, I am kind of sure that it's displaying this error due to a conflict with other addons :S but I don't know what addon is causing this error..
