Here's the vbseo package for you. I'll add this in the first post during next update. Upload the quran.php, import the product file and add the custom re-write rules.

on quran_install.php
change :
INSERT INTO `vbquran`
to :
INSERT INTO `quran`

^bro, for your English language set the character set to UTF-8.

Go to: Admin Control Panel -> Language & Phrases -> Language Manager -> Edit Settings for (English Language) and change the HTML Character set to UTF-8.

bro please be patient for a day or two, more than 10 languages will be added in the next update i.e. French, German, Russian, Urdu, Turkish, Japanese, Malyasian etc. I'm working on it as we speak.

Yes brother, there are few mistakes in Surah Names, Correct Surah Names are:

Surah No. 40 Al-Mumin
Surah No. 41 Ha Mim Al-Sajdah

I'll check more very soon, insha Allah.

^Surahs' names are not part of the Qur'an; thus, you'll find that some Surahs were given more than one name. I was told by my ustad (teacher) that the scholars came up with the names; I don't know if that also includes the Salaf (May Allah be pleased with them).

Brother we need to use standared. But i think Surah names are Part of Quran by the first day :). Please fix it as brother did mention the names, so i can update.

^brother, i did some more research and came across this fatwa. If the Surah has more than one name then whichever name we adopt is correct. I know that the mushaf of the sub continent use the other name for Surahs (i.e. 40,41) which I didn't use.

anyway, I'll do some research and collect the alternate names for Surahs and then have you run SQL Queries from admin control panel to change those names.

sis nazia if u follow the instructions in the "readme" file in the mod you will find that you have to download an additional file from their server which contains all the languages and db info :)

I upgraded from version 1 but I have some issues... (screen shot attached)

1) the mod did not update the page..so it still shows no language clickboxes to choose the languages (yes I did allow overwrite of product)

2) and the bismillah part shows BELOW the surah instead of at the top, plus its not getting translated but showing some ??? symbols there (but only for Bismillah, the rest seems fine but very very small writing)

3) also the Arabic has become very small (the arabic writing)...(yes I did change the language to UTF)

have no clue whats going on..I installed it 2 times with same results.

It seems you manually edit the quran templates; you need to revert them to make the new templates' changes take effect.

hey bro any chance of developing a "random verse" module for vbadvanced ? If not would it be possible to get the PHP code to generate random verses with english translation? That way I could try and see if I can get someone to make the mod over at vbadvanced.com
