Looks you the allow_url_fopen directive is not enabled in your php.ini file. ;)

Well, at least you know now. ;)

Short of that, if you're using remote authentication, the only thing you'll need to do is copy/paste the remote authentication URL shown in your AddonChat menu to your AddonChat account control panel under Settings -> Site Integration -> Remote Authentication :) |
The integration script has been updated. If you are currently using this script or the release candidate and are not having issues, you do not need to upgrade.
The update made today addresses the following issues:

Great little chat room so far. I am impressed. ;)

Posts removed. Please note that promotion of commercial products is not permitted on vbulleting.org. Thanks.
|
I'm sorry.. lol didn't mean anything..I will be installing!
|
Cleaned the thread from more post discusing AddonChat, their versions and pricings.
Please restict posts to questions about the integration product as relerased here on vBulletin.org. Please do not use this thread to ask questions about AddonChat itself, their versions or pricing. @Grim77 Links to external downloads also removed. We only allow modifications as attachements on our site, no linking to external files please. |
Installed Enterprise-25 on my little forum. Painless installation and permission handling.
Installed, Voted, Nominated. One issue though: navbar is far behind on showing the correct number of users in the chat. It adds new users alright but doesn't deduct kicks, log offs, etc. until quite a few seconds later, even after refreshing page. |
I had buy the professional plus Version, how I can link the Chatlinks manuell in the navar ???
Because I have a second navbar and I dont see the links :( |
Hello again. Mainly when investing in the Enterprise product, I would expect the help link on the chat panel to take the user to the appropriate FAQ section on the forum itself and not to the product's website.

My Question is: how to manually add the navigation link in a customized style/template?

If you don't think that is the problem, please submit a support ticket and we'll gladly look into it :) |
Well, my cookies are set and they don't work. The reason I reported it here is because the hack was released here. I already have 1 support ticket that isn't being answered.
|
Boofo -- Techs are off on the weekends -- Your open ticket was responded to at 3:55pm yesterday and you acknowledged it today at 11:08am -- that is the only ticket we have on record from you. Simply respond to the last eMail sent from our tech, Anthony, and ask that your ticket be assigned to Chris and we'll take care of you.

If you want to do it yourself, I'd use the addonchat nav template as a guide, possibly manually paste it into your main navbar template in the location you'd like it. You may have to edit it to match any customizations to your navbar table. I really can't help much more without actually seeing the problem. The script as-is should automatically integrate itself into the menu provided you're using a VB 3.7 compatible template. |
Chris,
Id like to create a box in vBadvanced for this chat...I dont want a link on my Navbar... What code can I use to call the names of those in the chat room into a box (i know the code for the box and what not) so they are listed 1 after another (with a scroll bar if needed) |

For a who's chatting box, you'd basically just have to query the addonchat_who table (note that the vBulletin table prefix is not used) then parse the data for display -- usually you'd use a template and a cached template bit to display the content. Here is a generic example of echoing the usernames using VB commands... PHP Code:
|
More complicated then in the past - im not sure how to do this...
In the past I was able to use iframe command and it would pull it that way. I appreciate the response but I have no clue on how to do a template and cached template. |

Been an Enterprise Plus user for well over a year now. Just upgraded to 3.7 and the AddonChat integration updates and improvements are great. Thanks!
One thing I would like in the future now that you have individual usergroup permissions. For those usergroups that cannot access the chat room, can you add another option or make it so the "Chat" section of the Navbar is invisible so they don't even see that option? |

Grim aka Chris is the man to aim for when asking for support! He definitaly assisted our site untill it was all working 100%. Which was a mission from our heavily changed board. Out of the last 3 chats we have offered our members this seems to be the one that everyone liked best so far, we even got chatters campin in there now haha.
Thanks Chris! Will be bugging you shortly about some problems we just found! (minor) |
grim..i';m going to install this today and might buy the plus version.
|
I've 123 Flash Chat, Tufat's Flash Chat, ChatBox and this chat's free version (installed now to test).
Members liked the speed of your chat but they hated the plain interface after using the systems above. I'd buy the Pro version if it had "Add your own background images" feature. |
Can there be any good reason for me to unload MGC_Chat_Evo to exchange for this mod?
|
very nice thanks
|
purepothead -- Not sure which ticket is yours, but I assume the issue (whatever it was) is resolved now. If not, let me know.
NeutralizeR -- eMail us at support@addonchat.com; we'll see what we can do to help out. soundbarrierpro -- you should be able to run the two side by side if you'd like. GaiLoan -- You're welcome :) |
Yup, it was the Func issue, simple over look and fixxed, Thanks!

Hello,
Full integration with vBulletin should also mean that inactivity time will be measured (optionally) by forum session versus chat session. Please provide us with this option for better user experience. Thanks. P.S. I'm using the Enterprise version. |
AddonChat is far superior performance and server load wise.

One thing that is missing in the integration of AddonChat with vBulletin - unlike with all the non-external solutions - is the option to invite another logged-on user on vB to chat.
As I mentioned before, this must-have feature is built in all the other chat & shout products that are not external. Calling a user to join my chat via PM finds me in a ridiculous position where the user has long logged off the forum without even reading my PM. Another alternative is to use another product for shouting, but then - what's the point of installing two RC applications? Please help with this must-have feature. Thanks. |
