And my question is:

I have a forum in Spanish and I would like to be able to modify the tab feedback that comes in the profile for "assessment"

He changed phrases templates and looked in the archives. Php but can not modify Does where you can modify this?

Thank you

Hello,

go to the plugin manager in your vBulletin ACP. Find the plugin "iTrader in Member Profile - Profile", the select Edit. Then, find:

Code:

'title' => 'Feedback'
Replace it with:

Code:

'title' => 'Assessment'
We followed the default structure in vBulletin profile block classes when writing this, but I might change this to use phrases when we have another release.

Thanks!

Quick question: which template do I edit to change the Feedback tab's contents? I want to put a "leave feedback" link in this tab, under the Member Profile section directly beneath the link for "View All Feedbacks For _______", using this code:

Code:

<a href="itrader_feedback.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]"><b>$vbphrase[itrader_submit_feedback] $userinfo[username]</b></a>
If I know which template, I can drop it in. A template search for "<!-- cat_itrader_stats -->
" (which shows up when I view the source of the page) only dumps me at a list of all the templates.

MagnetiCat 08-11-2008 06:39 PM

Hello,

the template name is memberinfo_block_cat_itrader_stats. Find the line:

Code:

<a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]"><strong><phrase 1="$userinfo[username]">$vbphrase[itrader_view_all_feedbacks_for_x]</phrase></strong></a>
and add below something like:

Code:

<br /><a href="itrader_feedback.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]"><strong>$vbphrase[itrader_submit_feedback] $userinfo[username]</strong></a>
Thanks!

Perfect! Thanks!! My users will appreciate it.

I am a complete noob at this but from the instructions I don't understand what files to edit and where for just a simple install of itrader. nothing special.

any help would be appreciated.

MagnetiCat 08-21-2008 03:38 PM

Very simple. First go in the iTrader thread, and download itrader.
Then, install iTrader following their docs.
Then, import this XML product through vBulletin's product manager.

That's all - it's a very basic add-on, really; nothing more than a few templates and some php code.

MadeJoyce 08-29-2008 01:32 PM

Installed!! & Perfect!! Thanks!!

CarlitoBrigante 10-20-2008 07:13 PM

Hello,

I think you do not have iTrader installed. This is just an add-on for iTrader, nothing more.

Christon 10-20-2008 08:43 PM

Yes, I have a iTrader installed carlito.

CarlitoBrigante 10-20-2008 08:56 PM

Hello,

will need to take a look at your installation, as this seems to be a issue nobody else is having. Please send vB version, iTrader version info to my PM. For easier debugging I'd probably need to check your forums as well.

Christon 10-20-2008 09:07 PM

Check your PM carlito.

CarlitoBrigante 10-21-2008 01:19 AM

Just to keep everyone updated, turns out there were some installation issues on Christon's website unrelated to this add-on.

Seshat Diva 10-24-2008 07:30 PM

Personal challenges with loading iTrader which I'm totally sure are issues due to my lack of knowledge and comfort level migrating Admin.

I've successfully downloaded iTrader (I believe) it's visible under installed products, however I question the success of my install.

According to the directions under "read me" I am to edit "user group permissions" and that iTrader permissions "will show up at the bottom of the list".

Not so in my case. It is not showing as an option in my user group permissions, unless I've not found the right section referred too.

iTrader is visible now in my Vbulletin options. I believe I have not addressed two important parts of this install.

1. Designating where this sits on my site (this may not be possible yet if this part requires a URL- my site isn't live yet and still connected with the computer company that installed the software....I'm linked to their server right now)

2. Formally designating where my members "click" to get to to the Feedback system. I've seen iTrader sitting in two different places on two separate forums in the following locations:

a) presented near the member join date area (a place to click below that to take the member to the feed back system.
b) presented at the profile....members click their to link them to the feedback.

As of right now since my install I have neither.

Do I need to formally address this link from the Plug in Hook up location? If so, I'm then challenged by the PHP information it wants......???

Please help! VBulletin Customer Service will not assist on third party installs, they have been very clear about that.

Thanks so much for any assistance that can be provided. iTrader is a terrific product. I've used it many.....many times for trading and I'm looking forward to see it working on my site.

Armageddonz 10-24-2008 07:44 PM

I mark as installed. Thanks will implement now =)

Cocko 10-27-2008 06:44 PM

Thanx for this addon.

Can the shown Tab be limited to certain usergroups?
I think banned users should't have any benefits with this.

MagnetiCat 11-06-2008 04:28 AM

Seshat Diva, those are more questions that should be asked to the iTrader developers.

Cocko, yeah, we might add some usergroup permissions for this. It won't take much, but we are busy with work on a couple of commercial scripts right now (somewhat related to feedback systems), so I am not sure when I will be able to do this. Anyhow, stay tuned for updates.

Meanwhile, you might wrap the template included in this add-on in this:

Code:

<if condition="!is_member_of($bbuserinfo, array(8,1)">

</if>

To prevent unregistered users from seeing this.

Cocko 11-06-2008 12:04 PM

Thanx MagnetiCat, I'll give it a try ;)

That did not work for me. In this way above I can prevent users seeing the profile
feedback tab but I can not prevent users (by usergroup, i.e. miserables) to have a
feedback tab in their profile.

I have played around with that for a while but don't see the right way for success.

Any other ideas?

Thanx.

Thanks, installed.

Anyone got the original itrader install files? They have been removed from the original thread. I have this installed, but I'm upgrading to 3.8 this weekend and I assume I need to reinstall, right? My users depend on this feature and upgrading and not being able to have itrader would be a major issue, so much so that I would have to stick with 3.7. Thanks.

zombietom 02-28-2009 05:05 PM

I think i might have it--email me at blacktom@kih.net --if you can't find it

JessicaS 03-05-2009 06:42 PM

oh man...wrong thread sorry.

Arachnophiles 03-26-2009 09:33 AM

Other than lack of Developer input, does anyone know the reason(s) behind iTrader being moved to the Graveyard ??

If you have Itrader with vb 3.7 and upgrade to vb 3.8, looks like iTrader will keep on working.

Well... I believe that someone who downloaded version 2.1.0 might have the install files on their hard drive...!

Anyone?

powerful_rogue 04-17-2009 11:25 AM

Dont know whether this is allowed, apologies if its not - however you can download the new iTrader 2.5.0 which has been fully updated to include stats in profile tabs as standard at http://vbenhancer.com/itrader/itrade...-5-0-new/4783/ - I believe from what ive read it wont be released on vb.org

nexialys 04-17-2009 03:25 PM

it wont, but it is already announced in my signature... ;)

btw, the Profile Tab included with the new iTrader is not this version released by MagnetiCat, as i do not have the official right to use his stuff... ;)

it's not only the lack of Jason's input but also because i took-over the development of the engine, which is not made on vb.org, so it was impossible to let that thread open... you can follow my siggy for support and upgrades.

yes, i have them.. ;)

and to be polite, people have no right to provide scripts coded by someone else. this is against the rules on vBulletin.org. btw, you can follow the link in my signature to have the official site releasing this engine.

Hello nexialsys -

I am Carlito from the MagnetiCat team. This minuscule add-on has always been marked as Re-usable Code for these situations, so you could have used it freely. But I see you already have a very similar tab implemented in the new iTrader ;)

Great job ;)

nexialys 04-17-2009 04:09 PM

sure, like you've done for this addon, it's mostly just copy/paste the template of the existing iTrader... :)

thanks for the right, as you can see at the now new official website, there is a reference to your addon/release... this is the only credits i can give because i do not control your stuff, but i appreciate your work...

Right - at the time this was released it was absolutely the first add-on using the new tab system in vBulletin profiles, so I suppose this is why it became fairly popular, considering iTrader popularity - but for most part, the code was simple and the HTML was from the iTrader profiles, with some minor edits.

Flood 05-03-2009 12:58 AM

Hey, when i install it, in my vbulletin options it shows up as a blank. How can i change this.

Also, when i activate it. I get this error when i select to view someones profile.

CarlitoBrigante 05-03-2009 03:56 AM

Have you got itrader installed?

This is just and add-on to the OLD iTrader. The new iTrader already includes something like this, so there is no longer need to use this add-on if you are using it ;)
