thanks

:)

meolangthang 05-01-2008 01:57 PM

wow,

GReat! its so professional. I like the smooth kind of this style.
Thanks :)

radmoose 05-02-2008 01:45 AM

nice designs!

I have downloaded and installed most of your styles on my site.

One of my members did notice that this style has the home url coded for the logo in the upper left corner as opposed to forumhome url as in all other styles. I did make the change in the header code, but thought you might want to rework the default code.

biglamb 05-02-2008 01:46 AM

Appreciate the style, still working out a few minor details as far as setup for my own site but overall I am loving it

Thank you for this old favorite style.

Got a problem I can't figure out. We have several groups of forums that have forums set as categories in each section, with the attachment you can see one of them - AFC Conference

Attachment 79843

Now just uploaded Smooth Red and the forum set as a category is not right and screws up the main layout.

Attachment 79844

Any ideas on what to do to make them look like categories? We uploaded the style as is and it is not set to any parent style. Hope this makes sense!!

Thanks!!

I also noticed this when I installed the style. I also changed the template to link to the forum's home page instead.

TimberFloorAu 05-04-2008 11:54 PM

For some reason, we have style issues. Not sure why.
www.yobromofo.com/forum

Change template to SmoothRed.

Havent changed any settings in StyleVars

Could be missing images I suppose ?

markbolyard 05-05-2008 11:18 AM

Did you upload the smoothred folder to your public_html folder or your /forum folder. I can't see the style at your forum because there is no style selector, but my assumption is you need to move the smoothred directory under your /forum directory.

biglamb 05-05-2008 09:45 PM

I don't suppose you could supply the font for the buttons, for some reason I don't have the font and cannot seem to find it without having to purchase it...booooooooo

biglamb 05-05-2008 11:32 PM

n/m I got this

Here is where I found it

http://www.webpagepublicity.com/free-fonts-e3.html

markbolyard 05-06-2008 12:43 AM

Glad to see you found it. Would have emailed it if you hadn't.

Stuntman Mike 05-06-2008 02:10 AM

Hey, we're having some style problems.

As you can see...www.thatmoviegame.com

We can't get the images or as I call 'em "red bars" to show up....any idea whats up?

markbolyard 05-06-2008 02:29 AM

By the looks of it, try uploading the smoothred folder again skipping any files that exist on your server. Everything looks find but (as often happens to me) when uploading via ftp, sometimes it doesn't upload all the files or perhaps it timed out. If that doesn't do it, you can PM me with a temp login and I can look into it further. While I'm awaiting your response, I'll check your image directories to see if the missing images are in fact there.

EDIT: Found your problem. Sent you a PM. You uploaded the entire zip contents to the smoothred folder on your server. Follow the instructions I PMed you, and you'll be all set.

fluentdesigns 05-06-2008 09:18 PM

For some reason the white part of the site doesn't go 100% height so I have these two gaps. Where do I go to fix this? Image attached

markbolyard 05-06-2008 09:31 PM

I would have to see the live site to know what's causing that. Appears to be a non standard vb page (a modification) so I would have to see the tags to know why it's like that. You can PM me if you don't want to post it publicly.

Stile2 05-08-2008 04:54 PM

I can't for the life of me center my main logo/forum name. It seems to be centered in a narrow table that isn't centered, but I can't figure it out.

http://www.yucaipaswim.org

Below is the code that is in my header template.

Please help,
Thanks
Keith

Code:

<!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
  <center><td style="background-image:url('$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/leftborder.gif'); background-repeat:repeat-y;" height="100%"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/leftborder.gif" border="0" alt="" /></td>
  <td valign="top" width="$stylvar[outertablewidth]" class="page">

<br />
<center><table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr></center>

  <center><td align="center" width="325">
<a href="$vboptions[homeurl]"><img src="http://www.yucaipaswim.org/forums/images/banner1.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a></td></center>
  <td align="right" width="90%">
        <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
        <tr>

        </tr>
        </table>
  </td>
</tr>
</table></center>

regards

macc

markbolyard 05-09-2008 01:03 AM

Macc,

I have no idea what you're talking about. I visited the link and it looks fine. The only thing I see that is a problem is you have so many links in your navbar, that on a 1024px width monitor, visitors are probably getting a scroll bar left and right. If you can, please post a screenshot as to what you are seeing.

Thanks.

macc 05-09-2008 02:51 AM

hello!

i know ..because that you can see only when is some log in on board not like guest...

will attach screenshoots

regards and thanks for replay

Could you answer Stile2's question? I have the same issue.

Thanks
Keith

Stile2 05-09-2008 05:39 PM

Any help on the centering issue?

markbolyard 05-09-2008 11:30 PM

Looking at it now Stile2. Give me a few minutes and i'll report back with the correct code.

markbolyard 05-10-2008 12:40 AM

Code:

<!-- logo --><a name=top></a>
<table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
  <tbody>
  <tr>
    <td style="background-image: url($stylevar[imgdir_misc]/leftborder.gif); background-repeat: repeat-y" height="100%"><img alt="" src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/leftborder.gif" border=0></td>
    <td class=page valign=top><br>
      <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 width="90%" align=center border=0>
        <tbody>
        <tr>
          <td align=middle><a
            href="$vboptions[homeurl]"><img alt=""
            src="http://www.yucaipaswim.org/forums/images/banner1.jpg" border=0></a><table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 border=0>
              <tbody>
              </tbody></table></td>
          </tr></tbody></table>
      <!-- /logo -->

Try that and let me know how it works.

Stile2 05-10-2008 01:39 AM

Code worked perfectly.

Thanks so much.

markbolyard 05-12-2008 03:16 PM

Your welcome. Glad I could help.

Baldilocks 05-12-2008 05:56 PM

Any ideas why the sidebar shows up on TOP of the forum area instead along side of it?? :)

markbolyard 05-12-2008 06:02 PM

Without a link to a example, couldn't say. Make any changes to the style? A tag being accidentally removed during a edit would easily do that.

TheCatcher 05-12-2008 06:53 PM

Hey, i have installed this Style -> www.xtopic.de

Nah, just had the style uploaded as it. The left side column was on top and then below it the rest of the forum. It wasn't a side-column but more of a giant, half-page header. LOL.

notrick 05-17-2008 07:46 AM

i have a strange problem. Might be a minor one though. I dunno whats happening.

http://forums.targetlife.com

If U see this in IE 8 or IE 7 It looks good and smooth.
But in Firefox Beta 3 or Firefox 2.xxx The Sidebar looks incomplete.
The center Image is missing.

What can be the issue?

markbolyard 05-20-2008 11:11 PM

I viewed it on your forum and you are right, Something is not right. But on my forum it shows up fine so I'm not sure what changes you may have made to cause this to happen. Any of your modifications, or other CSS that's been added that may conflict with the style?

verino 05-26-2008 10:30 AM

Thank's. Installed !

Only need to customized a little bit, especially for the font color.

orij1nal 05-31-2008 10:00 PM

how would I center the banner in the header of the template? http://hkmediaonline.com/forum/forum.php , you can see that my banner is aligned to the left, I want to center it. BTW the banner is an animation gif, but the animation does not work when put on the header, is it probably because it is hyperlinked?

markbolyard 06-01-2008 01:58 AM

<a href="https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1514430&postcount=64" target="_blank">https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showp...0&postcount=64</a>

Already covered. Code should work for you too, just change the banner path.

orij1nal 06-01-2008 04:02 AM

hmm the code does not work, its still not centered any idea?

orij1nal 06-01-2008 04:30 AM

hoangminh 06-02-2008 02:47 AM
