i have installed the mod ... but its showing 2 shades on the postbit ... how can this be fixed to one color as it would have been without the mod ...

The shade of colors is controlled by the value "alt" is set to.

The line is controlled by cellspacing I believe. Change the value to 0.

I didn't like the line going all the way across, and I didn't like it being in the middle when I made it narrower, so I edited it as follows -

Unless I have made some sort of mistake with this installed your thread pages will no longer contain valid HTML, to a human they will look fine but to bots (i.e. google) they the markup is invalid.

If you take the standard legacy postbit and only change it to include this change 61 errors are created when checking validation here:

A couple of issues:
1) it adds a border around the signature. I don't want this - Is there any way to remove it?
2) even if there is no signature, it adds the borders - this is obviously undesirable. How can I fix this?
