mvigod 02-01-2008 04:44 PM

Well done!

bart67 02-01-2008 04:44 PM

Thanks very much for this every thing is working fine now .
For the javascript to work you have to go into each Usergroup Permissions at set it to work .

Thanks

To upgrade you need to uninstall the old version, so all ratings will gone.

Please note that for:
- Search
- Rating
There are 2 options:
1.- In MemberIndex->Options which has priority
2.- In Usergroups
This is for those who want to switch them On/Off from time to time. So you need to setup first usergroup permissions and then the related option.

Javascript that I'm using is a cross platform script, we're using it in many mods, and never had problem. As I wrote in the post, tomorrow I'll post the final release, after double checking usergroup permissions. Maybe I forgot something.

gigglegirl 02-01-2008 04:59 PM

Thanks, the member search works now and so do the images, javascript is still not working yet. All in all, wonderful mod!

Question about the featured members, I see a button so I'm supposed to randomly pick members to be featured now and then?

gigglegirl 02-01-2008 05:03 PM

weeeiirrd.. I set permissions for groups, they were working, then i came back later and they were not. I checked permissions and everything was set back to "NO"

yeah something is wonky.. i set the usergroups to display across the top, and they disappeared as well, after i just reset those permissions in the usergroup area.

tekram 02-01-2008 05:10 PM

No..no... In listing mode only, if you've the rights to Mark/Unmark featured members, there is on the left side a button. Actually they're 2 button versions there. If the member is not yet featured, clicking that button, you mark him/her as featured. So now the button change to "Remove from Featured". Clicking it again, removes the member from featured members.

Try to press F5, or better logout and relogin. It happens to me also, with a different mod. Sometimes vB acts a bit strange especially if there are lots of mods installed.

gigglegirl 02-01-2008 05:25 PM

:( not working.. everything just keeps reverting back.

vbFreelancers 02-01-2008 05:25 PM

For a first check, I didn't found anything wrong in the code for javascript. Of course it's late here and I'll recheck it tomorrow morning. But please check that you're trying to see the image popup only if you've choosen "Images" and not "Avatar". If you choosen Avatar, even if the user has Image in his/her profile, it shows nothing.

tekram 02-01-2008 05:28 PM

No way, sorry i have test all the think with any klick but nothing

mvigod 02-01-2008 10:14 PM

Marina,
It appears that once you set the usergroups, if you change anything in the usergroup permissions it un-highlights that membergroup in the Index settings.

Fixed, but I'll include it in the final release later today. Product id for usergroup permissions was in conflist with the name that I used for the array.

After founding the bug in usergroup permissions, I spent nearly 2 hours trying all combinations, and everything was working well. The bug was on memberindex_admin.php so be sure that you've uploaded it.

Ophelia 02-02-2008 04:52 PM

Usergroups aren't showing for us either. Fresh download and uploaded everything. Also, it may be connected, but nothing shows up when we use the Special block either.

p.s. where exactly is the "memberindex" folder suppose to go? There are no instructions on this folder.

Ophelia 02-02-2008 04:58 PM

Also, the ability to add more than one special box would be wonderful. We are going to use this as the "Meet the Team" and we have 3 groups that we would like to showcase.

There is a readme file inside. And it says that everything included in the directory vbulletin must upload in the directory where your vBulletin installation exists. So the memberindex directory must be as subdirectory to your vB installation.

This seems to load very slow on my site. It takes about 5 minutes for it to load all the way, and I have 1 1/2GB of ram on my server.

Anyone know why?

The final version that I released today has optimized code to run just the queries needing according to your settings. How many members do you have?

Conner85 02-02-2008 05:18 PM

Oh man.. lol

I have over 183,000

I bet that's the problem, huh?

First I'm girl (except if I'm so ugly to look like a man:p).
Well for sure a big amount of members maybe causes the speed problem (but honestly for so many members you need at least 4G Ram).
Try to deactivate "Last week's Top Posters", and check if there is any change.

Marina

Conner85 02-02-2008 05:34 PM

I'll try that. I wasn't calling you a man. I'm not sure if you're from the USA or not, but it's just an expression we use over here. And you're definitely not ugly ;)

I was kidding:D I'm Greek, but I know this saying. Just I wanted a compliment before going to bed. Goodnighttttt:)

Conner85 02-02-2008 05:58 PM

Haha.. alrighty then ;)

It seems to be loading a lot faster. Still a little lag, but I'm going to mess with the settings a little more.

This is what I assumed and did upload there, however, I still am not allowed the viewing of usergroups.

How many profiles to display in blocks? eg Newest Members
We want to display a usergroup that has 32 members in it. When I put 32 in this, instead of wrapping to fit the page, it puts all 32 people right next to each other. Is there a way to state that the number of columns for the usergroups also control what shows for this feature as well?

Ophelia 02-06-2008 11:14 PM

I posted before, just wondering if it is something you would consider. Fixed width for the columns/cells. When you go into the usergroup area with our theme it looks choppy because the cells are all different sizes.

Also, can we have an option to turn off "last activity"?

bugzy 02-12-2008 07:47 PM

Mine's missing the list of Usergroups and the ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP list on top

http://www.socaleuro.com/forum/memberindex.php

Greek76 02-15-2008 03:15 PM

Great mod but its not listing featured members at all. All it shows is the title and thats it. I have it enabled. Is their a way to fix this?
