Sorry to hear about your site getting hacked, I had two last month that got hacked through vbgallery.

Tried xvideohost and the video just sits and loads

VodkaFish 03-05-2008 02:10 PM

IGN was working fine for me until last night. I don't think you can use the chunk of url that worked before.

http://media.movies.ign.com/media/03...d_2288454.html
Was using:
033/033714/vid_2288454
Now, it seems to only want:
033714

Mike08 03-10-2008 01:15 PM

Can you make a Tu.tv video XML?

Thanks in advance ;)

DieselMinded 03-29-2008 07:28 AM

Well For the last hour i have went through your XML's 1/2 of them dont work at all , 1/4 of them dont work off the url but the PERMALINK and 1/4 of them do work as there suppose to

Thanks

Digital Jedi 03-31-2008 10:31 PM

As websites change, so do the structure of their URLs. That's pretty much to be expected, and we have to adjust accordingly. Also, a lot of the updated XMLs have been posted in the other two threads.

Digital Jedi 04-03-2008 11:33 PM

UPDATES!

Well gang, after much wrestling and a clearer, though not complete, understanding of how RegExes work, I managed to run though all of the existing XMLs and update the vast majority of them. Lots of sites changed not just their URLs, but also how they embed videos. And while most were accommodating, there are a handful that just won't work based on the knowledge I have. Maybe Hotwheels or someone else will be able to have a go at them. At least there were a few that I didn't have to update.

The Onion and Sevenload were just a bit buggy for me, but that may be on my forum only. For the most part they work. And I was able to create a few of my own.

NEW XML FILES:

AOL.Music Videos
MSNBC.com Videos
MyVideo.Co.Za Videos
Embed Games.com Games
EN/DE.Sevenload Shows/Sendungen
Spike.com Vidoes (Formerly iFilm)

I redid Sevenload to have one file for both English and German sites. But I also created a whole new one that embeds their "Shows", too, which uses differing embed code.

A few sites that were on the list, I just couldn't make work. A few that were requested I also couldn't make work for varying reasons.

SITES NOT AVAILABLE (For the moment)
Dorks (This one sort of works, but it auto-plays, and it only loads audio when the page is loaded. I'll make the XML if you want to fool around with it.)
Blip
Bolt (Because the site doesn't exist anymore)
eBaum's World
iFilm (The is now Spike.com, which I made a new one for)
IGN
Imeem
LongIslandOnline (I couldn't find a single video that wasn't already being hosted from YouTube)
MiniClip (The good news is, from what I can tell, almost all the MiniClip Games are available at EmbedGames.com, which I just made an XML for!)
Poker Tube
Tu.TV
Videojug
ZippyVideos

Here's the complete list of the XMLs in the attachment; the ones I made, the ones I fixed and the ones that were already working. There's a zip with the individual files, and an XML with them all just grouped together in one file. And I mean all of them. So if you want to start from scratch with working files, this is the way to start.

I'm also a notorious formatting freak. So I went though all the files and named them following a consistent format. Like I said, I'm a freak.

NOTE: I didn't include the XMLs for your personal site (Real, Quicktime, SWF), since those should be working fine. I also didn't include any of the porn sites, because, well, lets just say my computer is smack dab in the middle of the living room, and leave it at that.

THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT AME
Sort Order: One thing I've been annoyed with in AME is trying to get some kind of display order that makes sense. I found out while working on these, that entries with the same Display Number sort by alphabetically order. So what I ended up doing was setting all my working files to 1, and all my non working or in-progress files to 0. This made to where I could keep them in alphabetical order and create pseudo-categories.

HTML Code: You can also put HTML code in the title and description of the fields. I put font codes in mine to make all the non-working regexs red, while the imperfect ones I made green. This is also handy for sorting as it sorts them by alphabetical order based on the text in the code. NOTE: Not a good idea to use this on working RegExs. You'll get partial code in your posts. Just use this for non-working files, or files you have off at the moment.

Hopefully, Hotwheels will add this to the first post. Let me know what is and isn't working. I can't promise I can make it work. But at least we can try.

I tried to import the xml file and got this message:

If you're talking about Digital Jedi's post above it worked for me no problem...

And thanks Digital Jedi for your time updating the files.

No problem. I hope it works as well for everyone as it did for me.

Try re-downloading it. Sometimes downloads get corrupted. If that doesn't work, let me know. I'll try to get the seperate files sometime this week or next.

Digital Jedi 04-04-2008 04:01 AM

Well, baby went to bed early tonight. I got to put the individual files in a zip just now and added it to my post above. What do you think, Hothweels? Should I go for a third one of these threads? Seems like everytime someone starts one, something bad happens to them. :p

I had left out Rediff from my last post, so it's in the Master XML and the Zip if your interested. I'm going to try and go through the threads tonight and find the regexs that were overlooked.

AndyA 04-05-2008 12:57 PM

Brilliant update, thanks very much for your efforts !

Digital Jedi 04-07-2008 01:41 AM

I've put my updates here so you can find them more easily: DJ's Media Definitions I hope you don't mind Hotwheels. I have heard back from you yet

Mike08 04-07-2008 07:09 PM

Actually, I may be able to make Tu.TV work now that I understand things a little bit better. Check my thread for the next update.

Digital Jedi 04-15-2008 07:01 AM

How on earth is that working for you? That ReGex doesnt match up with any Tu.TV URLs.

DJ's AME's don't work. I keep getting an invalid file error. Tried re-downloading but that didn't help.

That's because their an Addon for the AME. You don't install them by themselves. You install The Geek's AME first, and then you import my definitions though the AME CP.

By the way, these are in a new thread now.

Thanks for your reply. I have the AME installed - I was just importing the wrong way. :D

All the updated ones are in my new thread. Your likely going to find a lot that don't work from this thread. Even some of mine.

SBlueman 07-07-2008 11:19 PM

I am looking for media definitions for more porn sites outside of redtube which is already supported. We have a VIP section where members over 18 can post XXX rated videos but they have been clamoring for more options outside of the only supported site.

Can anyone help?

The definitions in the this thread are out of date. You need to use the definitions in my thread for 2.5.
