Going to try it out on my site http://www.crystalstyles.com hopefully everything goes well with all the mods i have on there :|

chompychan 01-01-2008 09:06 AM

Seriously considering installing the beta on my forum (300+ people online at any given time lol) in a week or two when I move server. I really hope it comes out of beta soon though, or at least to RC status :/ Don't want any serious issues. Any issues at all really...

The new features are just delicious. Hopefully the Zoints tags will be able to be ported to the integrated tag system at some point :)

Does vB 3.7 still support php4 or is it a php5 only release?

Marco van Herwaarden 01-02-2008 10:48 AM

The PHP requirements have not been changed.

how long is a piece of string????

I had the same question. I'm not new to it, but just wondered how things were progressing with beta 3? My members are looking forward to the new features for sure. Keep us updated!!!! Thanks!

oh and to answer your string question. Only as long as you make it!!

MR.BOSS 01-06-2008 12:43 AM

how can i upgrade from beta 2 to beta 3?

therogueforums 01-06-2008 01:17 AM

Would it not be the same as upgrading from beta 1 to beta 2? Or 3.6.8 to beta 1, for that matter?

rapidphim 01-06-2008 05:53 AM

Anyone has any ETA when the final 3.7 version will be released?

Marco van Herwaarden 01-06-2008 08:35 AM

Once a release date is decided on, it will be posted as an announcement on vBulletin.com.

touba 01-06-2008 10:40 AM

before April 28th ?

my license ends in this date :D

They still have a few bugs to work on, if I'm not mistaken, and I'm happy to wait until they feel they have made a stable version. However, I'd be most content if they released an "as-of-now" beta. I foolishly took the rapid progress from beat 1 to beta 3 as a semi comparable time reference, and promised my community we'd be updating within a few weeks. Now, they're all looking at me like "wtf."

lol, b3 has been out a while now without getting atleast a new beta, but thats the joys of software development and i'm sure it'll be well worth it :)

rapidphim 01-08-2008 03:33 PM

can't wait for the final one. I haven't touched anything to my current site because of it :-)

As the otehrs say never promise that is one big rule with BETA Software, you should never say to a member that it will be a few weeks for the next update, as they will likely get a whole batch of bugs fixed before the next release so then they wont have as much to do on the next one :)

Just sit tight after all we only just got xmas out the way

therogueforums 01-20-2008 04:43 PM

Oh, I learned my lesson well. No more promises! That said, I don't think we're too awfully far away from either a Beta 4, or RC1 now. Only 10 bugs awaiting feedback, and I believe it's back up to 5 unconfirmed bugs (was only 1 unconfirmed a few days ago).

The vB Team seems to be on the ball once more, and my hat's off to them. Do I wish it'd be ready sooner? Heck yes! Am I willing to wait for a stable package, free of bugs? You bet ya!
