Have you recently upgraded your forum? It may be neccesary to reapply all template edits after an upgrade.

Usually for banned members the avatar + signature is gone...

You are thinking of deleted users. They will of course not be handled since they have no avatar. But banned or temporary banned users have avatars. This mod is for those users.

The default banned user group is 8 (if I am not mistaken) on vb 3.6.8, and I put 8 into the code (and followed it (instructions) and doesn't work)

I'm looking into adding something similar to troll and a semi-banned categories as well. I tried modifying the code around to see if it'd work with both, but all I got was the avatar to show up three seperate times. Any idea on what tweaks to the codes here will work for that?

Change "9" to your usergroup ID for the banned avatar.

Have you temporary banned a user for a time period and then chosen the "banned users" group as a gruop to place the user in during the temporary ban? You must do that.

HI, Great MOD and got it working ok, on my site i have a jail that i send people to if the step out of line and this is ideal, with the bars appearing on there avatar for there time in the jail, BUT i would also like to have the banned across the avatar for banned users? is it possible to have both, i tried messing with the code but got no where with it, any help appreciated :-)

You should look into your "usergroup manager" and verify that group number, because I don't have any group with id 8 at all. I don't remember what the default banned usergroup is.
