for the moment to make your sites work go to plug in manager and make those plug ins not to be active the , i am also unable to uninstall that hack but after doing that at least site is up and is working fine

tipoboy 07-30-2007 09:29 PM

well this has just finalised that i wont be installing any code/mod released by burach for the fore-seeable future. not to put too fine a point on it but any coder who cant even tell us what a piece of code in his own work is seems to me to be a tad unreliable!!

Why this code?
Code:

$vbh-botplac = '<!-- CSS Stylesheet -->'; $vbulletin->templatecache['vbh-bot'] = str_replace($vbh-botplac,$vbh-botplac.fetch_template('vbh-bot'),$vbulletin->templatecache['vbh-bot']) ;
sorry just my 2 cents thats all

Lan olum gelip burda gavurları ne kandırıyorsun len işe yaramıyor bu mod :D

Robru 07-30-2007 10:19 PM

I love search engines, this is not a hack for me, but very good work you've done :)

Nope that wont work because you can not disable it. Something in the script is disabling the drop down and the go button for the hack.

As I said I am sure it works for you... I am patiently letting you know you seriously stuffed up my site and again patiently waiting for a fix to remove this from my site.

ARE YOU PLANING ON DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THIS IN ENGLISH?

or are you just going to keep going around in circles "I no not eglash well mucher gooder". Get on with it mate!

Does not do anything unless you have backed up the entire site as it has written something into the pages that is conflicting with other mods and a range of normal forum functions.

Michael Biddle 07-31-2007 12:25 AM

this mod is crap and should be removed by staff.

csavern 07-31-2007 02:21 AM

i will have to agree whitemike cant belive vbulletin is leaving this hack on the board
but maybe be best to block it and leave the topic open untill we get a fix

Agreed, thanks a lot Bro... atleast Site is working fine now. Still wondering how to remove this hack. Also i admit, i made a mistake by not taking the backup. My kind request to the coders of vb.org is that "Can some one please look into the xml file, change da codes so that it could be uninstalled"...

flindersredclaw 07-31-2007 04:48 AM

Well I ended up installed a clean 3.6.8 on a subdomain and used impex to import the active database. That has removed it. I had two tables in the old database called "bots" and the other was "bot" I had another mod installed that made search engines see the pages like registered users so that would have been one of the tables and the other must have been for this hack.

I would suggest delete the bots table from your database and see what you get. Remember to at least back up first. No harm in trying. I will be better than the entire rebuild.....

WOW 22 votes look at that level? This has to be the worste I've ever seen here

flindersredclaw 07-31-2007 05:08 AM

The thing will still be resident in your database tables - I think the hack works (not sure exactly what it does as the info is limited) but I think the main issue is it is not compatable with anything other than 3.6.8 and it will conflict with several other hacks. Which ones I am not sure.

I have to say that in my short time here, I have downloaded and used a great many hacks and this is the only one to have given me this type of grief. Very disappointed in the developer for not replying to any of my requests nor the one pm I sent. Personally, "Developer" should be removed along with anything else it has produced.

hi there,
just try to deaktivate the product and the plugins with a sql statement like this :

The Plugins :
UPDATE `vb_plugin` SET `active` = '0' WHERE `product ` = 'vBH-Bot\'s';

And the same for the product :

update `vb_product` set `active` ='0' where `productid` ='vBH-Bot\'s';

replace the vb_ with your table prefix.

Not testet, but i tink it works. :)

Marco van Herwaarden 07-31-2007 08:11 AM

Those that have this modification installed (version 2.0) might have problems to uninstall or disable the product.

This is caused by the use of an invalid product-id:
- Current product-id is "vBH-Bot's"
- No product should ever use a product-id that starts with "vb" as this is reserved to official Jelsoft products.
- The product-id should be lowercase and only alphanumeric characters and underscore. Using a single-quote (') in the productid will break some javascript that is needed when uninstalling/disabling the product.

We strongly suggest not to install this product until the author releases an updated version.

For those who already have installed this product and need to disable or remove it, the attached script should correct the product-id by changing it from "vBH-Bot's" to "burach_bot_070731". This should allow for normal uninstall.

Please note that running the attached script might break the functioning of this modification, so only use the attached script if you plan on uninstalling the modification.

Place the following script in your 'admincp' directory and point your browser to http://myboard.com/admincp/fix_quoted_prodid.php

The script will not ask for a confirmation and will immediate make the needed changes. Once completed please remove the script again.

PS:
- This script has been undergoing a limited test. Use at own risk!
- If you have 2 boards installed in a single database, 1 without table-prefix and 1 with a table-prefix, then running this script for the board without a table-prefix might result in also the tables for the prefixed board to be updated (if this modification was also installed there)

As this modification has now been withdrawn by the author, the attachment is not downloadable anymore. If you still need this solution, please copy and paste the script below into a file named fix_quoted_prodid.php and place this file in your admincp directory.
PHP Code:

Warning is already posted in the first post, and a solution is given in the post above yours.

testebr 07-31-2007 11:34 AM

please remove this bad mod vb.org staff.

JD45 07-31-2007 04:25 PM

I guess a general question is why is this guy allowed to keep releasing mods that A. Don't do anything at all (see his previous mod) and B. Don't uninstall properly.

Obviously I'm not suggesting that someone test all mods before being released, but when someone is setting a track record like he is.

Magnumutz 07-31-2007 05:37 PM

No offense, but this should be deleted until a fully working version is released.
