solinarius, dd you overwrite the Product via the Import System?

Queball_Beast 06-24-2007 12:16 PM

Ok I finished installing, it was a fresh install
uploaded all files and folder to their directory
Import product

forum/players
forum/anymedia
clientscript/anymedia
forum/images/editor/media
forum/includes/bencode
forum/includes/class_anymedia
forum/includes/xml/bitfield_anymedia
Did the templates edits
Gave the usergroup permissions to use it?
enable the video sites?
tested a few links
However it is not working for me, not even the media image is showing in the editor

Is there something i`m missing?

Thanks in advance

deezelpope 06-24-2007 12:24 PM

Go into the anymedia vboptions and un check all of the play this site in vbplayer. So basicly you want the top part check (this allows the video site) and the bottom part un-checked (this plays the video through the hosting sites video player).

VBplayer will work but most of those sites will not let you do what you're trying to do. Vbplayer is more for playing your own files IMO.

your comment it greatly appreciated and for the coder that took this to make it workable...i will hate to see this thread go thru the motion asking about the same stuff or error from the original author thread. We might as well go back to that thread from what it was originally started because i had the same issue before and still having it...NOW,and i would hate to repeat myself again here..If you guys think about it, that's why it was abandon. No Fix for it

They should stress test this before releasing it....

redlabour 06-24-2007 07:49 PM

tipoboy 06-24-2007 08:49 PM

sorry the log in is swn guest and the password is 123456
didnt know about firefox but ie7 works ok thanks

Queball_Beast 06-24-2007 09:30 PM

Ok I figured out whats wrong and now i`ve gotten it to work.

For those having issues with the "M" not showing on the eidtor tool bar and the media players not working. This is what I did,

Put media.gif into forum/images/media.gif instead of forum/images/editor/media.gif

Put all contents in the player folder from forum/players/flvplayer.swf & mp3player.swf to
forum/flvplayer.swf
forum/mp3player.swf

Now everything works 100% for me but i`m not sure if this would work for everyone, so maybe "nix" can comment on this.

Thanks for the great hack

Okay. First make sure you upload the media.gif to this location.

http://scottishwheelnut.co.uk/forum/2e_redbuzz/images/editor/media.gif

Now uncheck the bottom part of the anymedia options like so.

Yea it works. You'll have to go into the anymedia template and change this

Code:

        <script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/anymedia.js"></script>
to this

Code:

        <script type="text/javascript" src="/forum/clientscript/anymedia.js"></script>
I'll fix this in a later release.

^ Did you do the Template Edits that are required? You can find these in the "do_not_upload" folder, its the file called "install.html"

djjeffa 06-25-2007 01:04 AM

i installed and set the optioms butwhen i try to veiw threads after embeadding vids it says faild

CMGU 06-25-2007 01:07 AM

I installed everyting and always doesn´t work wach the attachments

Dannyloski 06-25-2007 01:10 AM

GMGU, the reason this is happening is because you do not have the following items in their correct locations ...

- media.gif
- flvplayer.swf
- mp3player.swf

The media.gif image has to go on the /images/editor folder

Both flvplayer.swf & mp3player.swf files need to go in the /players folder

If you have it like this now, and it's not working, try doing what Queball_Beast did (Post #67) ...

Put the media.gif image into the /images folder

And put both flvplayer.swf & mp3player.swf files need to go in the / (root of forums) section

CMGU 06-25-2007 01:25 AM

that I did and it does not work to me

i don?t know what happend

only said loading..... & never load..

and if i chage this
