This addon doesn't add any queries, it only utilises vBulletin's own functions to add and withdraw info from the database together with the rest of the poll data.. Not a single extra query.

It does use one extra str_replace for each loading of a poll, but this is not very significant, and is not the reason why you get shut down.

Get the reason from your host why you got shutdown before thinking this addon is the reason.

thanks,

Thomas

excellent mod.

any way to hide the line counting voters to all but mod/admins?

Voters: 2. You have already voted on this poll

rwoscott 01-13-2008 04:53 AM

*Installed.

joeycano 01-14-2008 05:37 PM

Does this work with 3.6.8???

Sakera 01-14-2008 08:17 PM

Yes, i see no reason it shouldn't. I havent installed 3.6.8 myself thought. Waiting for 3.7...

HaCaoChien 02-21-2008 11:52 AM

Thanks for a very good hack.

Veer 02-23-2008 04:02 PM

Thanks, working fine on 3.7.0 beta 5 :)

MMChrisS 03-03-2008 05:47 PM

100th install and it works like a charm.

Running 3.6.8 as well...

Gemilang 03-06-2008 12:14 PM

Just installed this hack, works most excellently.

I have a very small request: if would be great if this can be restricted for admins' and mods' use only. Is this workable? :)

tnx!

*clicked installed for later use*

After installing the hack I've been experiencing problems when creating polls, they get reassigned to already existing threads instead of the new thread I was creating.

Mazinger 04-03-2008 07:15 AM

How to make results appear for admins only?

dbaez2 04-24-2008 08:58 PM

excellent hack, but i'd also like to know if there is a way to restrict it so only admins can view results (and not moderators).

snowman872 07-12-2008 08:33 PM

Has anyone tested this with 3.72? Does it work OK? Will there be any further updates?

Keesa 07-13-2008 02:45 AM

Installed. I agree with everyone else that if only admins could see results, that would be über cool.

Sakera 07-13-2008 07:53 AM

I am using this with 3.72 myself, and it's working as it should.

I have planned an update, but as of summer -> vacation .. etc. no time.
So lets see when the summer is finished if i get some spare time for this one... ;)

Thomas

IvyKeepMommy 07-19-2008 08:31 PM

Definitely interested in this when only the Admins can see :)

pool76 07-22-2008 04:42 AM

Thank you my members are thrilled - as am I at the cessation of their whining!

katriders 09-23-2008 08:54 PM

I have this installed on version 3.7.3, but it looks like there is still an "indication" of who is winning.... a green spacer of some sort appears.

This is how it looks like to me (yes, it's swedish). It looks good to me actually... Or did you mean the green bars there?

I've come across a view bugs with this hack so far. The first is, if you have the pollid and the the poll is set to hidden but is a public poll, you can see everyone who voted and thus can tell what the results are even though the actual number is obscured.

The second one is a bit more interesting:
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f5...ll/example.jpg

If you mouse over the poll, you get the reverse order of the results. So Yes in that poll has zero votes (so the bar extends to the end), No has 11 of 14 (and therefore is the shortest) and abstain has 3 votes and therefore is the second shortest. It's not exact but it gives you sufficient information to tell whose winning, how close someone is being second, etc.

Sakera 11-02-2008 05:41 PM

Thanks for the heads up Mimirswell.

Will fix the errors and upload a new version

I've uploaded a bug fix - v2 to resolve above errors.

Mimirswell 11-02-2008 06:46 PM

Excellent. I can confirm that the clear.gif fix works.

I agree. I installed it and it works great, but restriction only for admins would be really useful. Sakera, please, tell us how to do it ;-).

Sakera 11-09-2008 05:39 PM

You have to remove mod's ability to edit the poll.

Because even if i remove the result view from moderators, they can edit the poll to get the results that way.

When their access to edit the poll is removed, the results view also will be gone, i believe ;)

409industries 12-04-2008 05:10 PM

Excellent mod... 5 stars! Thank you... this was exactly what I was looking for.

dolphin678 12-04-2008 06:49 PM

installed in 3.7.3 PL1 and is working OK

Gemilang 12-08-2008 07:35 AM

I would like to have this mod such as it only allows admins and moderators to use it, and not regular members.

How do I do this? :)

Jinovich 12-08-2008 11:19 PM

How could I make this so only admins can have the option to hide the results? I have tried loads of different ways and no way has worked.

bitwise2000 12-17-2008 03:56 PM

Anyone install this successfully on 3.7?

Sakera 12-17-2008 04:01 PM

I can confirm that it works 100% on 3.7.

Sonyuserforum 01-09-2009 08:37 AM

Anyone installed this successfully on 3.8.0 Gold?

gauravseth 01-15-2009 07:55 PM

Thanks. Worked like a charm.

I have this installed and running for a few months now, but I have just realised that vbadvanced does not hide the results, it shows it as a normal poll, how do I correct this?

stunod 05-12-2009 03:10 AM

I have read through each question to see if anyone was have the same problem with vbadvanced and it was on the last page, just my luck!

I am looking for a fix for this as well. Anyone have or know of one?

Thanks,
Adam

gnatster 07-01-2009 03:08 PM

Works in 3.8.3 with vBadvanced installed

Marked as installed...

seannnr 08-06-2009 02:56 PM

Looks to be a great hack, I'm excited to install it on 3.7.4. Can you tell me what templates it edits? I have other templates edited and can't have those changes overwritten - does it only edit the Poll Templates group?
