Hi there,
i have the following message when going to the IRC page:

You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
You are not logged in. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page and try again.
You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Where do i change the permission for that. could not find it..

Thanks in advance

I have but one problem: it doesn't seem to get the style from the forums.
Everything is without any markup, white background, no logo, no colors, nothing.

Does anyone have the answer to my problem here? thanks in advance!

You have two options. Copy your theme folders into the vbjirc folder, or change the image path in the vbjirc files to point to your current image files.

intricatic 05-21-2007 09:31 PM

How difficult would it be to set up group configuration so that one group goes to one channel, while another goes to a different channel?

Like, say, I want mods to go to #mods when they use vbjirc, and I want regular users to go to #regularusers or something like that.

animehawk 05-24-2007 01:11 AM

Nice, thanks alot Ranma :D

version2 06-01-2007 02:51 AM

Looks great.

vbulletin_global.js & vbulletin_menu.js are not being included properly according to firebug.

Hate quoting myself.

I added this and all is well with the vbulletin javascript init:

Quote:

$finalout = str_replace("src=\"clientscript/","src=\"../clientscript/",$finalout);

beastybob 06-04-2007 07:18 AM

Fixed, NM

If you store the .css as a file, that won't fix it. As the header template uses $style[css]

skepticality 06-25-2007 05:23 PM

For some reason I can't seem to find where in my control panel to fix this permission issue. Here is what I get:

"
  1. You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
"

I must not be looking in the correct location? :|

Strafe 08-07-2007 09:00 PM

Its also not working in FireFox but it does prompt you to install Java. It's also a red x in FireFox.

What is wrong with this mod?

Code Monkey 08-09-2007 12:02 AM

Is this no longer in development?

Magnumutz 08-16-2007 05:14 PM

I guess not... pitty.

How exactly does one set this up? (for someone with no IRC experience)
Where do we get the IRC channel, etc.

Go to admincp and for each usergroup, there is a new option to make the vbjirc chat available to them. By default, no one has privs to access it, even admin. You only have to do this for each USERGROUP, not each individual user :)

I got this error when I installed it per the instructions from the vbulletin-chat.com. That was before I discovered there was this addon. I am not sure what causes this, but it is possible it is a browser/software error on your end. Try to see if another user gets same result? Dunno.

You install the mod, per the instructions in the package.

As far as getting IRC access, go to:
http://www.vbulletin-chat.com/forumdisplay.php?f=573

I think you can actually do all that from your site, as far as getting your own channel and nickname and all. But there's the full instructions at that link.

To setup an empty chat channel just type /join #whateverchannelnameyouwant
To create a nick: /nick #thenicknameyouwant
To register a nick : /msg nickserv register mypass myemail@address.com but the email address is OPTIONAL
To register a channel: /msg chanserv register #mychan mypass mydescription You can't register a channel without registering a nick.

The only problem I'm having now is that when accessing my own channel from my site, it does not recognize me as the admin. But when I do it from the vbulletin-chat.com it does.

Is that a problem with the addon?

xandizitxu 09-08-2007 03:18 AM

Sorry! Already see how it worked, sorry for posting!

I am unable to connect past this error.

N'mind, the presets were the problem, apparently the script doesn't like multiple word "real names" (odd)

The remaining issue seems to be the styles not shoring in the chat page. I have mirrored the forumhome template and replaced the $forumbits with the $vbjirc[main] and to my surprise the styles are still MIA.

swissknife 09-17-2007 11:14 AM

hi!

i got a little problem. :(

i use this url to open the chat:
http://www.boards-united.com/vbjirc/vbjirc.php

but all of the links in the navbar are broken, because there is a /vbjirc/ added.
for exampel:

http://www.boards-united.com/vbjirc/search.php?

please help me fix it.
