Simply awsome. Works on the front page of my VBA as well. Nominated MOTM

DasCool 02-16-2007 01:46 AM

How cool would this be if somehow it could also act as a thread preview. It would be AWESOME

Thanks mini2. I also really want your mod and highslide to work with the slideshow feature for all the inline images in my vbulletin posts with img tags. I think already two others have asked you for this so there is popular demand for this feature. In order for my database to not grow too big, I am embedding inline my flickr images in forum posts with img. And I want them to work with your mod and highslide. I really hope this possible. Thanks.

Working with the image tag would be fantastic as we have our limits for attachments at a pretty small to modest size.

This is such a beautifully effective and visually cool modification. Props to mini2, this deserves a nomination for the month.

Thanks, found it now, under "Thumbnail Creation." Not sure how I missed that. :)

I didn't bother to rebuild attachments, I'll just have the change kick in for any NEW attachments to be posted from now on.

roger.kore 02-16-2007 08:13 AM

Edited: Working perfect.
A question: How do I add attach images inline?

Wonderfull, do you have a donation page?

Edit: It's ok If I resize manually the control image? also, how change his diretions? top or right

Not sure I understand your questions, sorry.

I meant, this image:

It's ok remove the size?

ERuiz 02-17-2007 03:03 AM

Hello mini2,

I've got a question. I currently am displaying my VB install, within a 900 pixel wide iframe. When I click on an image and highslide opens it up, if I drag the image, it will hide behind the edges of the iframe.

Is there a way to be able to drag the images over the edges of the iframe window?

The problem is that if the image is wider than 900 pixels, then the edges of the image will be cropped out of view, by the edges of the iframe.

Thanks for any help, buddy.

Regards,

ERuiz

Unfortunately the coder of the hack wants to avoid darkening the background to avoid replicating the original lightbox script. :(
Our forum being a photography forum do not want to compromised on the high contrast image presentation that the lightbox script offers. Which is to bad because this script is so much faster than the original.

I can only hope that someone might work on the lighbox script to enhance its speed and performance as well.

I wonder also... is lightbox the first script ever to darken the screen?

Works fine and looks sexy, except i have an "Error on Page"
http://xs312.xs.to/xs312/07070/error6697.png

Nevermind, it fixed itself when i added the ", align: 'center'" :)

How did you make it working? Help would be wonderful :D

Thanks for the beautiful mod!

How do we add the "loading" graphic when the thumbnail is clicked? (Same as what you have on your site)

and also is there a way to make it work when the user use the image Url and make it auto resize instead of the attachment button?

Quaxi 02-25-2007 07:40 AM

Hi,

thx for this great mod:up: , now , all is working fine:)

Greetings Quax

Dock 02-25-2007 11:31 AM

I'm having problems with this mod, but I have problems with the demo page too. When I click the attachments it just pops up as a regular forum attachment, but when I click on your Mini Gallery thumbnails then it works perfectly.

It seems to work in IE but not in firefox. Any ideas why?
Does anyone else have this problem?

Skavenger 02-25-2007 05:53 PM

Is there any way to change the background when the picture loads?

For example:
Now is like this

Attachment 61021

And I want it like this

Attachment 61020

Ah, it seems that it wasn't working with firefox 1.5. I upgraded to firefox 2 and all is dandy.

Smoothie 02-26-2007 02:48 PM

May have found a slight bug with this. If you have an attachment in the first post on any page, and if you click it, the viewer opens fine, but it opens under the navbar. Screenshot below...

Lionel 02-26-2007 06:57 PM

Why is it there is a noticeable delay in IE when opening up a thumb?

I don't have a standard Navbar at all, so cant comment on that, but I do have Adsense, which yours is also appearing under, and I've just checked that in safari and the adsense is under the pop-up image.

So not sure if it's some container you may have adsense and the navbar wrapped up in?

Camino, Safari, Firefox, all display the same. Viewer under the navbar.

I prefer it this was, as when people use things like "lightbox" you cannot read the page and look at pictures. This way you can open many images, slide them around the page, and read the post/article they relate to as well.

I would like to have it that way I say...
Do you know how to do what I want?

Care to share the solution, in case the same issue affects others?

Was it something on your site, or will it be fixed by a future update from mini2?

PhoneiX 02-28-2007 03:01 AM

It's perfect:). Thank you;)

It's something specific to my site, because my links are in my header and the code is in the navbar. In the my skin css file, the navbar is set to display on top of everything. I had to add a new line in the css for the #highslide-container, which puts it on top of the navbar.

Like so:

Code:

#highslide-container {
    position: relative;
    z-index: 3000;
}

Smoothie 02-28-2007 01:35 PM

BTW, in case anyone cares, there's a new version of highslide out, check website.

Smoothie 03-01-2007 01:11 AM

A warning to those that download the new version, the code has changed somewhat in highslide.js. I haven't searched through it all, but what I did find out is there is no highslide-container id in the new code.

In layman's terms, how does that affect the vB mod?

I installed/upgraded to the new version (again, by adding highslide.css, editing highslide.js, uploading the entire highslide folder) and it seems to be working fine for me. I'd only installed up to "Basic Integration" on the instructions previously, though.

So I'm curious to know how the omission of the highslide-container id should/might affect my forum.

I saved the previous folder as "highslide-old" so it'd be easy to revert back...

Chadi 03-02-2007 05:11 PM

Its not coming up center for some reason even though I followed that extra step.

milsirhc 03-03-2007 08:27 PM

Hmm..

I realize if I use a skin (other than default) which is sitting in the images folder (ie: /images/newskin/)

The highslide plugin seems to load slower.. and also does not show the navigation buttons on the image when loaded.

Do we have to change any settings if we use other skins?

Chadi 03-05-2007 09:20 PM

Not sure which is causing a conflict, but this hack I've installed
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=127113

Now, when I click the thumbnail picture attachment in the pm, it shows "loading" and nothing happens. Any fix or work around for this?

milsirhc 03-06-2007 07:13 AM

it's all good. The reason why it load slow and all is because I stuffed it up at my end.

Thanks for the plugin! you roxs!

Make sure that you uploaded the highslide/graphics folder too.
